Fun night tonight, it was cool catching up with you Sheely. You definetly still have the skills. Tonight was kind of a little taste of what Friday night will bring, good times to come.

The track is smoove Boeckermeister, you may want to switch back to flats until you can adjust to its speed.

I hope to go back and practice again on Wednesday night to kind of prep for Friday. If anyone is planning on staying over Friday night at the Hampton Inn, I would encourage to book it soon. You can't beat $69 verses $109, thank's again to Mark & Dug for negotiating the bro deal there.

Also please make sure you thank Lino Lakes Chanticlear Pizza for a great bro deal as well. We ordered 20 pizza's tonight and they took care of us bigtime as well for free open practice that Dug hosted.

Haaahaaa, first glance at Sheely on the 26" (above^^), it looks like a Team Suzuki rider with the shock and brake disc... Awesome.. I gotta admit, I was scratching my head at the idea of that bike, but once I rode it, it was really fun!!! Suspension is great on the body man.. Thanks for the ride Shawn!!! I could never race it and do good, but you sure can/could... You still got it man.

INSIDE the barn is much better now that the tack-slop is everywhere. I blew very little dirt into my Kleenex last night ... So I don't think we'll have to have the Lino Lakes air control police present... I would suggest everyone to bring sun glasses though.... Ted's bring'n the Sting's.

Last post before arriving in Minneapolis. I'm coming from San Antonio, Texas where it's in the 30's and 40's at night and 60's and 70's during the day. So, if there's one person who stands out as being colder than everyone else, it's probably me. I was out riding my motorcycle in mid 70 degree weather just a few days ago. Poor me

The bike is packed and I'm ready to go. I arrive in the cold country tomorrow morning. It will be great to see everyone that shows up.

Will this event be documented? Vids & pics? A breakdown of moto's would be cool too.

Barn report - Wed practice:

Scooter, myself - and 2z showed up. The place was pretty empty, they were spraying more of the junk on the dirt - hope I don't develop a rash... that stuff is funky.

When I walked in the door at 7:00 I saw this guy in a FF helmet on a FMF with it's chain hanging off - I'm thinking "I'd hate to be that guy" and keep moving, I dress, do a couple of runs, hang out with Boeks by the finish line - then this guy starts waving Scott over to the gate. We ride over and there stands Mr. Mn Bmx himself - Dave C. I was pleasantly surprised, It's been 22 years since I last saw Dave - so cool to reconnect with him.

Dave wants us to look at his bike so Scott and I went back to the pits - looks like it came equipped with the wrong size BB and the chain was simply rolling off. So he borrowed a bike and got back on the track eventually.

We were all just doing some laps and gates by ourselves, and then something really cool happened - the gate drops, and as I'm cranking down the first straight I realize that it's the first time we have all been on the track at the same time - and the three of us are neck and neck like it's 1982.

It didn't really sink in until we rounded the turn to go back to the gate - but Dave and I both looked at each other at the same time and said "man, it's been a long time since that's happened... long time". That made my day, my week..definitely a great way to start the year.

Did I mention he's still really fast? Man... on a borrowed bike even.

2Z can run with the best of them. Hasn't been back for a long time either. Amazing!


Scott, did you like the track? I think its allot better by way of traction. I trust to rise the berms at a faster speed.

Cool story Shawn. I think there is going to be a lot of that happening this Friday. I don't think there is going to be enough time for all the story telling, racing, and catching up. Maybe we need to make it a two day event.

I think I saw Theo about 8-10yrs ago at an Auto-x event. Auto-x is a busy sport. When your not running the course, your watching/counting cones for the event times/PAX's etc., and if your doing either your eating or putting on sun block (very hot out there). I knew it was him, but our race times were staggered and I missed him. I thought it was him anyway..
