Doug sent me this photo off Moe coming down off the double on the 2nd straight, so I am assuming that was what he meant by it having to be packed before the seal it....Hope they pick some rocks out of there 1st

Did everyone survive Christmas?
It was fun, but I'm glad it's over.
My phil wood hubs showed up on X-mas eve, so Santa was very good to me. It helps when you slip him a C-note instead of cookies!

I'm excited for the fourth.
Conley- that looks more like you doing the scarecrow on the double in the second straight. I think I see MC apparel on your button down jersey.
Nice ride Braaaaad! Did you test it out yet?Ha

75lb weight limit Jeffrey. What cracks me up, if you stare at it long enough it looks like a NS 24" with those 20 x 1 3/8 wheels under it... Weird!
Practice: Sounds like fun, but I've been nursing a pretty sick boy the past few days and I doubt thats gonna work out today... Next week yes. I could use some pedaling.
Phil's huh? There hard to beat forsure. After speaking with some guy @ Phil, they told me that once the hubs are laced and on the bike, a little play in the hubs is optimum and its a common miconception about the hubs. I always thought the bearing were going out...NOPE! He said its what they consider perfect... 411.

LOL, no!
Remember last year during practice before the race? , my pedal caught the gap on the gate when I rolled off and I launched headover heels onto my face and the back of my heel ripped wide open...
Then 2 minutes later, "hey Brad", get up here were going to race now.. "WHAT???"
Madcowboy, another good time to have a full faced helmet.

Anyway, I'll be doing Boecker's job from last year.
41yrs old... hard to believe, but thanks!!!

I picked up my Dad's tapes over xmas, the titles say the following:
1. Double Points, State Championship 1984, West Hennepin BMX
2. 1984 Racing at West Hennepin BMX (friday races likely).
3. West Hennepin Beginners Championship race 1985
4. 6.30.85 Champlin MN State Championship BMX
5. West Hennepin Gold Cup 8-10-85 (I think this one is the National also)
I haven't had a chance to look at them, I think I'll set the TV up and look through them while I'm working.
I was just checking out the Tape to DVD recorders and they're actually pretty inexpensive now, so I think I'll just transfer them myself (thanks for the offer Scott).
I have a feeling they could benefit from some editing, maybe some repair - I may bust out DVD's now for those who want, then pull the good stuff to a comp reel, track it and make some short vids.
------------
Btw - I'm planning on practice next week - at least to roll around a bit. I'm having big problems with my low back right now.

LOL! Ya, the JT's were like spandex until I got the Aero/GT duds. The best riding period of my childhood I ran jeans and white long sleeved T-shirt. The more I started not to care the better I rode..Funny how that works.

REHBEINS TRACK UPDATE
We rode last night and checked out the track modifications. Nothing major, just subtle stuff here and there. Along the boards at the end of the first straight just before the berm it was built up with more sidewall. Apparently the plywood holding it up previously caved in and everything went soft. Matt & Dug tore it apart, replaced the backer board and built it back up so when riders are hitting the berm backwards on a race lap it is way more functional.
The first step up double in the first straight, the approach has been shaved down so it is less aggressive and easier to pedal through. It is now tough to jump it and clear because of the gap and low launch angle.
The track will be dragged, swept and sprayed with sealant on Saturday. There will be an announcement regarding practice next week before the Condo Classic so watch this thread.

Paul...cool 165 performer.
Sean had his parents order us boards from their store in 1984/5.
Sean and Mark had the 150 flattail? I had the 165 Performer with the cut out, and Shan got the cruiser.
I actually still snowboard. I have a slightly newer Burton now.

Actually Jay as Paul said, that's an Elite 155. The previous years' boards were the Performer & Performer Elite. I had the Performer in 1985, all wood, no edges, 3 alum fins. What a board. Wish I still had it. My best friend has a bunch of old boards - Elite 145 (like Paul's but Blue) and the first two versions of the Cruzer 165. He also has his old Sims Switchblade. The last time he took out one of the old Cruzers, he broke his ankle. The new boards handle ALOT better than the old ones!
I haven't touched a snowboard in 4 years. I keep saying I gotta get out one day, I just never do.
I don't even know if I could handle my board - a 172 Burton alpine style board. I'm sure it'd come back...
I'll have to see if I can dig up some old pics.
