Here's a picture from the Soul Asylum concert last night. I seen these guys 3 times this year. They put on a great show..

If anyone can guess which old schooler, I ran into at the show, will win a old Haro pad.

I'm guessing our very own Jay "wobbles" Wendt. If I win you have to bring it to the Condo and race with us.

CONDO Classic Update INFO - "If" anyone wants to bring some old school stuff/bikes for display on the 4th, please let me know in advance and I'll setup an area for display. There seems to be a lot of new people showing up for this, so it may be a great reflection on their past. BUT, Please let me know. There won't be room for large display's and blow up JJ dolls (JT biggrin.gif ) J/K...no I'm not, but bring a couple of those cool rides though.
Guest200901
Also, Ted-----Since I asked off work "for you", bring that Sting collection, ALL of it! It was not seen this year at all, so bring it and show it off! PLEASE!

I've got narcalepsy real bad. Probably from wearing too-tight OP shorts from 1980-83.

On the other hand, I've been buzzing all day. Calling Krone this morning did it. I'm so pumped to see him, and everyone else, on Jan. 4.

This site is awesome. Seriously.

I might not post for a few days (damn narcalepsy), so I'll say it now: Merry Christmas everyone.

Thats O.K. John, I'm nocturnal.

Talk about a list! This is going to be sweet.

That is an awesome list of racers. Props to Conley for pulling this together. I was just looking back at old BMXA's/Plus Mags last night, great to see several names on this list who podium'd at the Rondo back in the day...including Conley himself!

And way to go Mikko, you win the Haro Pad from KOP. Before you accept it, I would ask "Used in what way?"

KOP's got a hottie girlfriend, by the way...

Well you won't see my name... Had a Pretty bad day.

Not on the list but, You missed, Tim Klegin, Sandbox/class and Richard Burns ( I think)... Matt Hoyle, Tracy Long, Scott Ruud... Lots of MN guys.

Then of course Jeff Clark (IA), which I knew him and his Brother pretty well-Kar City Big Wheels rider. I also spotted Darrin Isacson (IA-14Novice), who eventually tore it up in our class once he became expert. Great rider and cool guy...

Follow along there Bradly....I didn't miss anyone. I was comparing who was on the results to who was on the list of confirmed riders for January

After making this poster (24x36) to be used for promoting the event, Instead, I decided I want everyone that races to please autograph it for it to be auctioned off (silent auction) later at the "After Party" which is TBA. Money raised by this well be given to a charitable cause outside the BMX community, yet to be announced (haven't decided yet) Only one well be made.

A Merry BMX-mas to all my Minnesota bro's!

Okay, I've got to admit it. Although I read and reread every inch of the Rondo reports published in BMXA, my first trip to St. Paul was for the almighty Farah/Pegs Classic. What the hell was Farah/Pegs anyway? I thought Charlie's Angels were going to be there.

If I remember correctly, wasn't Nicky Kragness the king of the boombox/break dancing at the old Shakopee indoor track. There was always somebody spinning on a piece of cardboard behind staging at that place.
King of Pipeline
I remember the Shakopee indoor track, right across from Valley Fair.. That was a great track in there.

Merry Christmas to all my 2 wheeled Hutch bear trap pedaled friends..

Happy Holidays to my brutha's from another mutha...

Thanks for the thought Mark but Jan 4 is out of the question for me. I wouldlove to be there with the list you are posting. I just saw a photo from 1983 at the Civic Center. Me sitting next to Dave C. waiting for the Pro gate. My dad shot them. Man was I skinny!

Merry Christmas Minnesota! Wish I was there!

Who be da' dope 4 reel Breakin' King??? I am pretty sue dat be Sheely and Sandberg-turf battles at the Shakopee showdowns were legendary I'm told. I never had a "dancers body...more like a mini Hulk as far as coordination is concerned.

Hulk cut racers off in corner, Hulk hold shiny trophy. Hulk like BMX!

Now Brad Apold shoulda been a dancer..he has a dancers soul and body. Anyone capapble of laying down drum notes like Bradly should be able to teach tango lessons.

I thougt I'd share my latest project. the bike is 2000 GT Micro that I bought from Mr. Springer about 2 months ago and it will be my Son's first BMX bike.
I decided to sand blast it and re-finish it 1982 GT red, and the 82 GT decal set will soon follow. Also, I have some OS yellow GT pads I'll probably use instead of the 90's GT pads that are on it now. I call it a NS bike made to look a little OS.

Enjoy!

Paul Springer
Man oh man, it is hard to believe it is the same bike. That thing looks great!

Open Practice Thursday (12-27-07) at the Barn 6-8pm. This is to help pack the track before they seal coat it. Another planned one for next week before the 4th is going to happen as well, they just don't know what day

Pack the track? What did they change?

Is anyone going tomorrow? I had planned to go next week, but I might be able to make it tomorrow.

From what I understand that just made a few jumps a little lippier and that is it.

I plan on riding at both, I need to get my legs back. Hope to see you there Chucky.
