Does anyone one have any suggestions on where I might be able to locate a straight 13/16th chromoly seat post...Seems to be a difficult size to locate, new or old...the local metal dealer doesn't even carry the size....any suggestions greatly apprciated...

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually saw that post and thought it was probably a mild steel post....hoping for a chromoly or even a fluted alloy one, it is going into a Race Inc...

One of the aftermarket brands (I think it is Pyramid) still makes and sells the 13/16" post in chrome (not sure if it is chro-mo or mild steel).

I see them all of the time at a local shop here in Portland. I think they run around $10. Remember, 13/16" is still the size of most Schwinn Stingray (even the reproductions) frames.

I got one of those posts from that seller and put it on my Rockford Race Inc. build.

Have you given all the bike shops in your area a call? I just bought (as in after work today) a lay-back post in cro-mo, and a mild steel chrome plated straight unit also-there must be a shop with one out the back somewhere...
