When last have you had a decent wipe out?

I lost a bit of blood the other day while show boating about with my 10 year old daughter and 3 year old son, I'm riding a totally unrestored '81 motomag while my daughter was on her GBMX , it wasn't long before things got a little serious, I put some planks onto bricks -2 then 4...5 to do some old school jumps and moves - the next thing my daughter wanted to see how fast I could ride - I'm up to the challenge, I start 15m behind her - I shouted go putting all my power into those pedals - just as I pass her on full grunt my chain snaps - the next thing i'm over the bars and all over the road, the chain wheel ripped into my calf as my foot lost the pedal, elbows ripped, shoulders grazed, and my foot ripped open...aaahh
I felt 10 years old all over again, needless to say some cool old school parts were ruined.

its been at least 10 years since ive had any decent wipe outs. im constantly reminded of a couple bike biffs from a few pedal scars on my shins, a numb spot on my left side on my pelvis bone from when i thought it would be a good idea to ride in a huge empty canal, and on my right leg where the calf muscle is the actual calf muscle is to this day in 2 pieces where a sprocket bit me. good times. lol

I stubbed my toe on one of my bikes last night.
Does that count?

Two years ago, I was riding a freshly restored 68 stingray, when peddaling with my kids down the road, the seat started slipping down, so I grabbed the nose of the banna seat and pull up (checking to see what going on, while peddaling mind you.)
and up pops the seat off the post and down I come
right into the right inner thigh, right by the you know whats!!!! I stood up and blood just started pouring down my inner leg, I start screamming to my kids I need to go home( they thought I was kidding, as I always do with them.) I was in front of a house and a lady was sitting on the porch and came running down the steps saying are you ok,(she say the whole thing and was white as a gost.) I move my hand and I thought she was going to pass out, me also. I had to walk 2 blocks home, across the neibours yard with a pit bull that I could sware could smell the blood, it was going nuts.
anyway an ambulance ride and 12 stiches later, and many many jokes, about how lucky i was not to have new percings.....
no fun, but fun.... I have a real narly jagged scare....

Broke my wrist racing last Saturday night. Not exactly old school, but still hurts like hell.

Back in June I broke my elbow (surgery) and got 8 stitches in my right shin when I flipped the gate. I hear you on broken chain, I had that happen to me when i took a new OS build out for a test ride after I built it.

Last year I rolled a 3 wheeler trying to u-turn while going too fast. Hurt like a B. Funny though.

Earlier this year - tried to powerslide on my Hutch Pro Racer on smooth cobblestone path - did the slide OK but the bike stopped and I kept going - sommersault onto the hard ground - lol.

Dinged up the end of a previously NOS Oakley B1B - lol

Yes, I was showing off....

Teaching my son how to do curb endos with DX pedals. OUCH!
I have never badly hurt myself on a bike. Skateboards are a different story though.

Last month I was out in Chatsworth park and unloaded off of My 2004 SE OM Flyer. and got some nice road rash for my trouble.

Two weeks later on a ride in Whittier I wrenched my left knee tearing my meniscus and suffering a plateau fracture if the tibia. I under went arthroscopic surgery and had two screws installed to mend the bone. I'll be on crutches for six weeks.
But at least I got some good pics taken of me before I managed to jack myself up!
