I have 2 frame sets that I would like to have made for myself, one 20" and one 24". Any one have any advice or contacts to someone who has done this before. I have a friend who welds for a living but really don't know where to start.

get a frame builder to do it who already has the jigs and all, or check with your local chopper guys , there is a chopper frame maker here in tx that said they could adjust the jigs to make a bmx frame but I would not know how well allaigned it would be, so I would trust a bike builder. you are real close to paramount/standard bykes factory in wisconsin and michigan frame builders, but to make just one or two frames can be high$$$$, all those guys want to make 100's of frames, not one. actually, I think the old badd frames were made up there at one time, ask around, find a local guy.

You can check with Liquour Bikes in Austin.I know that Blaze made a custom 24" frame for a friend of mine.It was a direct knock-off of a Cycle-Craft but more substantial.Blaze can probably make anything you want.He makes mostly 20" stuff so I'm sure a custom 20" would be no problem. They have a web site or go to EmpireBMX.com and link to it.
Also FBM will do some custom stuff.I think it is based on their current models. For example, you could get a StairMaster with a 22" top tube if you wanted.I don't think they make a 24", Though.

There are a few frame builders in Chicago. I'll email you some numbers in the morning.
