I have Martin Pimental to thank for this frameset. He has generously gifted it to me, although I prefer to think of it as being on loan.

Being that as it may, I've had it in storage for the past while, and he has prompted me to get it out of its rest, and so, in a moment of "build desire" I also got out some spare parts I had in storage also, and put this together. It sure felt good to be doing something "bike" again

It needs a bit of "component tuning", but overall, I think it looks pretty good. Makes me want to be about 12 years old again

My (nearly) 10 year old daughter took a ride on this, and she loves it. She thinks its great to ride a bike "just like dads GT" (1981 GT 26)

Now, I have a 1981 GT Junior frameset sitting here.... Maybe I need to start doing something with it..

Yikes! I almost forgot, and it would have been a crime to.

A huge thanks has to go to my friend Clint Sparrey, who built the wheels for this. I got them built up a while back, and they have been sitting there waiting patiently to be used. Clint did a fantastic job on these, especially considering these were the first radial laced wheels he has ever done

Nice...

I like the chain ring on those cranks. Looks Campy-ish. I have Suntours VX's, they must be the same huh?

It's a beaut!

Good on Martin for such a great act and I don't know if those wheels could be any nicer.

Thanks for sharing.

That is an awesome build - you don't see many Expert builds here.

The Sankebelleys really set it off.
Just about every rider who ran 1 3/8s here BITD had snakes as opposed to Comp IIIs.

Mike meant to thank 'Andy Diamond' for the parts - DON'T YOU MIKE.
KRISTEVIN
VERY NICE...

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

Er, yes, thanks Andy, er Smith *cough* for the parts, and also, Martin's surname is spelt Pimentel... My bad.

And Kevin... You need to send me some updated photos of your GT's. I mean, we GT nuts need to share our sickness... LOL
