I Just pick up a diamond back and am not sure what it is?

FORK: 0BASE BALL 02XT

I reckon that first character is a "2" (not a Z).
That would make the frame you have an '82. The X is the batch and the rest is the number of your frame in the batch. The fork you have is an '82 as well and the same batch. Matched set - nice.
The baseball is thought to be the symbol for the Koizumi factory. Regardless, it's definitely Japanese made. Good quality.
The frame should have double gussets with a large diamond cutout. If you can post some pics it should be easy to identify.
A pic of the whole frame side on and a close up of the rear dropout with the serial number on it is all you need. Try and show the thickness of the rear dropout in that pic too as that's a key thing with identifying an '82 frame.
