Heres my newest build, my daily rider.
Recently retired my JMC 24" , everytime I ride the JMC, I see the curb, or a dip, I always crave to jump off that. but always afraid to do it. Always afraid to break it. The reason is, the JMC is the one I bought new and raced BITD. So the senmential is extremely high to me. Not only that, if it gets stolen.. !!!!

I tried the new school 24" cruiser. they do ride nice, but there is no soul.

So.. decided to find a replacement. and decided on a candy red GHP. I did race a 1983 Candy red 20" GHP bitd... I remember in 1983, I went to the Bike Gallery in Beaverton and there was this kid that works there. he had a sick red GHP and it was so cool and that I had to duplicate it.. the way he did it was awesome. no GHP decals anywhere, not even his flights has decals.

So, I tried to find GHP 24", it was not easy, it has to be OG paint candy red, or nothing at all. thanks to Pep and stevenbevn.. finally got it. Those guys rocks!!! thank you!

the frame and fork , is in good shape, has alot of paint chips, few rust area. and OG ghp decal on HT. exactly the way I want it. I never ran GHP decals bitd, just ghp chrome pad.
basically this ghp is pretty much the way I had it bitd except for hutch chrome powerdisc/ flights , uni graphite black seat , hutch hubs/ 1.5 turbo lite rims and galino bars. thats it

all the parts are all used. there is no NOS in this build. (kinda like barn find?) lol

waiting for GHP pad sets (thanks subwax!) looking for zeronine moto control plate white or black (have all blues to trade) then it's complete

enjoy the pixs

meddling kid
wow - that is absolutely amazing

Almost too nice to be a daily rider. Nice stuff on it.

Yeah, that'll never get stolen. Sheesh, only about a billion $ worth of parts there...

J/K, beautiful build. Makes me reconsider what I use as my 'riders' now. Once in awhile I even leave one on the porch overnight, and wake up barely breathing when it hits me...

LOVE the chromy goodness.

Nice one Jimmy - DAILY RIDER!!!

Gotta finish my XL24".....

Killer build!

What is that a $300 seat post on that thing? Total high dollar parts.

Nice bike, but is the JMC back to F/F status?
EMPI
Ben,

Looking for powerlite bars or ghp to replace my jmc bars.

I couldn't agree with you more about the statement of new bikes having no soul, I couldn't agree more....The old school stuff is just quality...your GHP is absolutely magic... great to see it is still getting pedals about!!
velocidad
wow what a rider - well done!
Here's another pic of one in action here in Oz. I never did track down who owned it....

I raced a GHP cruiser almost exclusively in the 80s and loved it. WOuld love to find a red one to build. Gorgeous bike you have there.
Chris P
Sweet build.. I love it.
EL CID
My boss man at the lbs I worked at raced a 24in GHP.That was his favorite bike. Empi yours is mighty fine
nicanoia

AndyDiamond
Is the Patterson guy in the above pic running 24 x 1 3/8?

Can anyone tell me when 24" x 1 3/8 wheels came out?
Chris C.
Andy, I think he is. One of the very few guys I recall seeing with them. THat pic was very close to 1985.
EMPI
I would love to run 24 x 1 3/8 , keep me posted Andy
Flanelcamel
I like it!

24x 1 3/8's would be sick on there.
AndyDiamond
I have a set of Ukai 24" x 1 3/8 rims laced to Suzue high flange hubs.
They came on the Hutch XL24 I got.
Need some serious TLC.

ok, here's a question, would 24x1-3/8" rims require a same sized tire the way 20x1-3/8" does?
