Heya guys.. while checking the back pages at Profile racing I found a nice nugget that might be of interest to some of the Hutch guys.
http://www.profileracing.com/news_full.php?id=542

Mentioned in this edition of the "news".. they have this to say.

"Now for the old stuff. Here's a Hutch Lil' Holeshot frame from the early 80's. Yes, those are original stickers, no, the frame's not for sale (well, maybe, if the offer was truly massive.) We made a bunch of these for Hutch for about a year or so, I think in 81 or thereabouts. It would have been the same period of time we were making Hutch cranks, obviously."

Nice info.. Both for the holeshot and hutch cranks. Probably not new info for most, but news to me.

Pretty cool, I didn't know that. Thanks.

That is actually a very early frame.

Check the drilled hole 'HUTCH' in the brake bridge..... and the funky rear triangle where it meets the seat tube.

Very cool.

Not for sale?
The Profile guys have said this before but been persuaded.

They would sell for $$$$$$$.....

I think it's relative to note that the original head tube decal is the "HI" version and not the "HIGH" version. Although there may be no rhyme or reason between the two versions or where they were used, this does show that an authentic original used this version on the head tube.

Here's pics of my Brit Adude/LHS test article bike:
