A Project Manager friend of mine said he had an old BMX sitting at home in his garage, that he built for his son to race in the early 80's. Says the frame's titanium, and he spent about $1500 on it BITD - from the looks of the photos, he wasn't lying - I think I may grab it off him................what do you guys think?

Apparently, a few of you guys may already know the bike........

judging by those parts and such I would say mid to late 1980's. cool revcore hubs. suntour pedals maybe with different cages. parts are cool enough, not early 1980's really though, more like mid school I would say

Could somebody identify those cranks?
Thanks.

Looks like Cooks cranks to me - 152mm

I think he said they are 160, but I'll take your word

The cranks are CQP's. Cooks is a trademarked name. Awesome little bike for some young one. Could you imaging your dad buying you that bike for you to race on. Cool pops!

yeah, he's a cool guy. He says his son used to race with a #4 plate in Florida, when this bike was new, and was pretty good at that age - last name's Simpson, if anyone may know him

he's also got his original JT pants - they're about 24" tall!
