These were a nice little find. They arrived this morning - and there just wide enough for my cruiser - Bonus!

Off to the chromers next week, should be ready just in time for MK.

Hey Diesel, those look sweet but they look a little wide at the bottom? Voris sold the pit bars as pit/cruiser bars in his later ad's.

Where did you get those? They are interesting but are you sure they are authentic? The geometry is different than any VDC bars I've ever seen. I have every size including the pit ones and they look very different to me. Brooklyn Machine Works made bars for a while that look like VDC, who knows..

Yup I know what you mean, The lower ones in the photo do look wider?

I'm 98% certain the're not repro, as the owner only knew that they were bmx bars, and they were on an old school setup.

The exact dimension are 27" wide and 7 1/4" high (centre to centre) and the gap between the two uprights (again centre to centre) 5 3/4"

OK well I guess I'm going to go with my initial thoughts that these are original vdc bars, as I really do have no reason to believe otherwise.

That is unless anyone has some serious concerns or information otherwise?

Cheers all

I'm more concerned about the geometry. Just like frames VDC bars were made on jigs to keep everything accurate and consistant. Those couldn't have been made on a vdc jig IMO. I used to work at a VDC dealer in the 80s and have seen several hundred VDC bars over the years but none like that. Real or not lets just say those are not production bars. Please understand I'm not trying to knock them, they're still cool whatever they are!

Cheers,
