This was posted on one of the other boards a few days ago and I expected someone would have posted something here but I haven't seen anything so I guess I'll do it. Jeff passed away Dec 22 2006 at age 41. For those who didn't know him he rode for GJS, Robinson, Mongoose, and I think SE as well as Ultramax which was his familys distributing company. Ultramax was one of my two largest distributors when I was in the numberplate business. If you lived on the west coast in the mid 80s chances are good that something on your bike came through Ultramax. For probably close to 5 years there were very few weeks where I didn't talk to Jeff, Don ,or mom Diane at least a couple of times. They're good people. I've emailed back and forth with Don a couple of times in the last few years but never contacted Jeff, I wish I had. Here are a couple of links with the info Don posted on the Glamis Dunes website.

Sad news...41 is not old.
RIP Jeff

that is horrible news--really depressing. He was one of us. I bought a GJS sticker from his Dad on Ebay a couple years ago--I was pretty stoked to be getting it from a factory GJS guy. Rest in Peace Jeff. My heart goes out to the Parscale family.

Sad, 41 is way too young.

I saw that his dad has been recently selling stuff. Some cool, rare stuff that was Jeff's.

Last time I saw Jeff was a couple of years ago. He was doing the drag boat thing then. I was sorry to hear of his passing, he was a real AZ. BMX legend.

R.I.P. Jeff, you'll be missed.

This is very sad to hear..

Back in 80' or 81' I had the pleasure to see Jeff race and meet him. There was a mini series that was held up here in Mn. and Jeff raced part of it. He was one of the first factory guys I was able to meet from out west. Very nice and super cool guy!

My thoughts and prays go out to the Parscale family..

Rest in Peace Jeff

That is sad news,I talked to Don via e-mail about a month ago. I was co-sponsored by VDC and Ultramax BITD. I bought a VDC Gorila jr. from Don about a year or so ago that he had built up for Diane to ride around the pits at the races. My thoughts and prayers go out to Don and his family.

Don has some awesome stories about Jeff and BMX racing in the 80s.

Very cool.

Jeff Parscale was an awesome BMX racer.

Quite a bit, he's in the home videos section of those
Jox Jag dvd's.
Usually leading and wearing a GJS jersey
or his red, white, and blue jersey of the bike shop
he rode for before he became a factory rider.

Jeff Parscale was true Arizona BMX royalty.

My condolences go out to his family and friends.

Don and Diane asked me to say thanks to everyone who posted on any of the sites, they've printed them out for a scrapbook they made.

Wow this news is terrible. I spoke to Don via email about a year ago after I bought some stuff off of him on Ebay.

What a nice guy, he sent me more than what I bought and also traded a bunch of emails back and forth about Ultramax and some BMX historical info.

I'm so sorry to hear about the news. Does anyone know how it happened at just 41 years old? My thoughts are with his family.

This is sad news indeed, Jeff obviously touched many lives. Don and Diane, if you're reading - all of you are often in my old school thoughts - and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I traveled with, and raced against Jeff for many years - he was always my toughest, scrappiest competitor. He had an infectious sense of humor, and was one of the best friends I met along the way.

The trip we made together to the '85 World Cup is one of the best times I can remember from BITD.

Here's to you Jeff, you'll be missed - and always in our memories.
