Getting ready to put together a Dan Gurney Mono-Shock with a Matthews Girder fork, I'm at a loss as to which rims/wheels to use.
My choices are a set of FEMCO's with 105 gauge spokes and black hubs, a set of Tuff I's or a set of Motomag I's.

those 3 represent a progression during the formative 70s. all 3 have merit. do you have all 3 so you can take comparative pics on the bike?
In the poedunk midwest, we didn't think too much about the motomag because we were more focused on the mongoose frame they were attached too.
the femco's were the best so you could jump without destroying your transportation.
tuff 1's were all the envy for everyone on femco's once we started seeing them around town.
tuff 1's remained king right into the araya freewheel era for us.
tough call.
