I bought both sets on Ebay thinking they were both "PRO" bars. The first set pictured I feel are GT bars but what series are these:

The measurements if you can't make it out are 26" X 6"

The 2nd set I purchased pictured below don't fit the measurements height wise of what everyone on here describes as "PRO" bars. They also have somewhat sketchy welds at the pinch.

Please help with some input, I am having a hard time putting my hands on a legit set of GT pro bars...And I also bought a third set that never showed up and the seller said they lost the tracking number. Thanks for the help.

Bottom set - GT Pro.

Top set - Expert that have possibly been cut in width.

Comaprison pic for you - top are Experts, bottom are Pros.
Both are the same width.

Andy, have you ever had any set of yours rechromed? So the measurements on my pro set are correct? Thanks
AndyDiamond
Nope - my sets were NOS.

Yes - those measurements are correct fro Pro bars.

Some of the welds on GT bars can be a bit gnarly - not awful - just not as nice as some others.

Measuring bars from the centre of the crossbar to the centre of the stamp clamp area isn't the rise, so 26" x 6" isn't the correct measurement.

You need to measure from the centre of the stem clamp area to the centre of the grip area to accurately define rise.

I now have those Expert bars Andy shows above, and I also have a set of GT Pro bars. I'll get some measurements on the weekend.

Here's a set of GT Pro Bars that I bought back in '82. They measure 28" x 8".
