"... we now interrupt your program for a word from one of our sponsors..."

Well, after looking over the new 2008 line, I decided that it was time to join forces with SE. With my love of the old-school / retro stuff, and with SE's love for making killer new retro stuff, it just made sense!

...and it looks so freakin' cool to see a SE wings logo next to a Skyway logo on a trailer!

We just added a bunch of new SE items to the site. We sold out of the PK looptails within the first 2 hours, but there's a bunch still worth looking at. Like, did you know that SE makes socks??!! Yup!

We'll be carrying future releases of SE limited edition goods, as well as the every day stuff. So, if you're local bike shop does not have it, check us out!

Todd Lyons..... you're doing a great job!

SE and ColoredTuffs.com -- perfect combination in my opinion. Keep it up Ed!

Hey Ed, are you selling complete bikes and shipping them to people? This is of course a violation of SE's dealer agreement and is something that a SE dealer such as myself is not allowed to do. A new SE bicycle is to be delivered to a customer completly assembled and ready to ride. This is the only way SE and Fuji can be sure it was put together properly and is safe. Back in the day all the mail order companys used to sell all the brands like GT and Haro until a huge lawsuit ended the sale of complete bikes mailorder. A word with Todd might clear this up. If you can sell completes over the internet then the rest of us long time SE dealers should be allowed to also. My kids need to eat just like yours.

Gee Mike Bike, all it would have taken is two minutes to visit Ed's site and read the following:

|PLEASE NOTE: SE Complete bikes cannot be sold through the Internet. Available from our retail location in North Florida, or from one of our "Planet BMX" vending trailers at select NBL and ABA races.|

Maybe if you'd have had a word with Todd it might have cleared things up. But why do either when its so much easier to accuse and assume and post something like this.

Im glad your kids eat, I'm just not sure how you do it while your foot's in your mouth. Chill out, k? Talk to people first.

Before I listed any items on our website, my SE rep told me that I was allowed to put up everything on the site, along with the disclaimer that was put on each bicycle listing. My customers here in North Florida also rely on looking at the site to see what I have available to them.
Everything that you see on the site was approved, and in addition, my site was looked at by SE / Fuji's corporate office.
I run the Pro Shop at our local track here in town, and the bikes are built up professionally by me (I started turning the wrenches in 1987 professionally), and I perform maintenance on every bike I sell out there.
I have never shipped a bike to anyone. If you want a bike, it's done in person, as stated on the bicycle listing.
Sorry if this rubbed you the wrong way, but it appears that you didn't research the facts easily available to you.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Ed. I probably shouldn't post when I've been drinking. I tend to get a little sensitive.
And to Nighthawk.... BYTE ME.... I was talking to Ed.
ColoredTuffs.com
No problem, Bike Mike.....!

For the record, I'm a big fan of the "support your local bike shop theory". I do a Pro Shop at the track now because there's not a single bike shop here in town, and there's MANY of them, that do BMX well. When Coloredtuffs.com first started, it was all about old-school type of stuff. Now that I'm stocking new school stuff (and there's alot of capital invested in that), it makes sense to have it on the website too to give me another opportunity for someone to see it. Now that I'm at the track, I've had invites from 2 other tracks in the area to come out to vend there too. They know that the kids need a place to go when they bust a tube, or break a frame, and most kids now are forced to wait a few days and order it from a mail-order company.

This is my (more than) full time job now, so I am growing the business. Adding the SE line seemed like a perfect match with what I do. Now when I say "ColoredTuffs.com is now carrying SE Bikes", I'm not advertising that I'm selling just "bikes"... but rather the line. "SE Bikes" is the company name.

Good luck with your shop... I wish you much success with it.

Bike Mike, you were talking to one of my friends. A good friend that I will defend when he's wrongly accused. Your hostility towards me is not necessary, there was none towards you. My response was a corrective result of your actions (key word: yours - if you didn't want a response, don't post). If you wanted this private then you should have sent your message to Ed privately. This is a semi-public forum so when you post, you are talking to everybody. Please excercise a little more control, there is no need for anger here; pull up a seat, have some chips and be welcomed, and become a friend too.
