Ok, so i talked to John over at AME grips and asked him about doing a run of DUALS. He told me that he might be able to make a limited run of ONE color combo without me ordering 500.
So, If you had to choose ONE color combo for duals, which would it be?

Duals or Untirons?

Do they still have the moulds?

New font or older Bubble font?

Blue flange with yellow inner or yellow flange with blue inner.

GT/Patterson colours - the most logical for A'ME Duals.

Molds for the unitrons are not available any longer. New font. They have since changed their logo, so the old is unavailable.

Oh well - there is always a grip donut to cover the font.

or yellow outside/red inside

Today i sent in an order for some grips. I ordered 30 pair of the duals. Black on the outside and white inside. They will take 4 weeks to complete. i will post them for sale when i get them. I also let him know that if ANYBODY has some other color done to let me know, i would take some too.

^^^^^ Yup, im with Mike and Andy on this black and blue! ......even though i hate to ride duals (without gloves) they are very cool looking. But it looks like the Hutch/DB guys got us again.....black and white.... c'mon....you guys pay out the butt for everything else.....why make the grips easy to obtain???????

I would like to get a set of blue and white and since you might get yourself 30 pairs of black and white maybe I could trade something with you for a pair of those.

John sent me an email and told me that they are doing a big run of golf grips so the duals machine will be tied up for 9 weeks............

So, i told him that i still wanted them. If i can get any other color combo in this deal, you all will be the first to know it. I am really pullin for the blue and white combo as well.

Well, blue and white would still for for GT and Patterson stuff plus a whole lot of others too.

Let's face it - A'ME was never really associated with DB or Hutch BITD so black and white is an odd choice.

I really don't think it would be an odd choice, because black and white go with just about everything.
I ran black and white duals on a couple of my bikes bitd, and I've never owned a Hutch, or DB.

The poll only ran for two days before the order was made? I thought it would have run for longer than that. Oh well.

White and dirt never mix well. Especialy where the clay is red.

I havent been around here for several months until recently and just saw this thread as i was looking back. As an A'me duals collector it makes me happy and sad. Happy that a rare color could be made, but sad that it won't--that and that they are modern repops (even if made by A'me). John Svenson has had a lot of black with red and black with yellow the last few years with the new font--they as Andy said can be "donuted."
Anyway, before the market gets flooded with Caeser-duals, have a look at some old logo versions in my collection--it is possible to find actual vintage things if you work hard--a lost art in bmx collecting. I sold a prize pair of yellow with black to help some fella building an 84 Wilkerson replica last year because he had a great replica. Hopefully, i'll find another pair. These grips are my all time favorites. Red with yellow inset are hardest to find imo. btw, Can you spot the one set of non-A'me imposters in the pile?

yellow/white are bunk ..... i own black/white survivor originals. i love to find some original black cams.

should have posted 2nd gen duals. the first gens looked like the ame finis only 2 peices instead of a million (hence the name dual)

will the new ones have a softer rubber compound ??

I'd like some blue/yellow ones...

I have 2 sets of A'me duals and 1 set of unitrons I'd be willing to trade for other color combos or sell. What I have is Duals in black with red inner & blue with white inners like the ones above the black & grey in SantaAna's pic. Then the unitrons I have are Blue with yellow inner. All are NOS never been installed. Let me know if interested.
