I'm looking for a pic of the correct decals for a KZ1. I am restoring one that didnt have any stickers on it and I have done a search and found that there is some different ones getting around.
Also if anyone knows where I can purchase the correct set that would be super

Here you go, Taken off of my 81 KZ1. The smaller Tange sticker and intact seat mast decal are for the KZ1.
I'd check Jamie's site for eventide's repro decals, pretty much accurate for all years.

Thanks guys, ringer thats a very nice example of a KZ-1!

I have the correct stickers coming, thanks for all your help guys!
NSR Jamie
Nice bike Ringer, talk to Jim or Eventide and he will set you up with the perfect set of stickers. He actually sent me his original stickers and a set of his own made ones and I was totally amazed how perfect they came out. You won't be dissapointed. I am going to use his on my new KZ-1 project bike. Cheers!!
Ringer
Thanks again for the comments,

The stickers on my frame are the ones Jim made also, they are idenical to the originals I took off. Also, you can use my frame as an example of sticker placement, I measured exact locations of those stickers from the original.

Ringer, what's the serial # on yours? Mine is K1I0234, and my og stickers differ from yours. I'll post it up later in unrestored condition.

Mike yoda...good meeting you the other day and thanks!!!

Ah, how appropriate to be a Kuwa collector and live in Japan-town!

Speaking of stickers, I know most of you guys have seen these before but for those that haven't here are some weird custom gold decals on my KZ1.

Interesting Ringer, mine Kuwahara made Sept. 81, yours Tange made Jan. 81, 2 slightly different sticker sets.
Mine before I sent it off the get rechromed.

Ringer
I'd be curious to see if the stickers correspond to the manufacturer, anybody have some examples of other KZ's?
AndyDiamond
Story goes that these gold decals were made by the bike shop at the time and that this black KZ was one of the first imported into the US.
