I'd guess mid-80's. They went the smaller gusset around what, 85?? I think later 80's the loop tail disappeared. It's not a Viper since I don't see chainguard tabs. (unless of course they were cut off for some reason). I'm sure one of the DB experts can chime in here and give you something better than my description.
Cool bars!

My guess would be Super Streak form the mid 80's. Seems to be missing the chain-stay decal. Frame fork and possibly the neck seem to be the only original parts. Good Luck with the project.

the bars are newschool aluminum
stem and seat clamp seem to be original
the lower chainstays don't have the "box"
there is an ABA No.1 sticker on both upper chainstays
edit: its a Pacer 500
it has the number 500 stamped on the rear dropout
wonder if its rare?

If those brakes are Dia Compe, they'll have a manufacture date on the back of one of the arms.
I'd say mid 80's. I think they went over to that smaller gussett in 84.

The Super Streak had a four piece non loop tail rear end,
Pacer 500, rare bird indeed, as rare as a Ford at a Hertz rental lot...now a Viper Stickered "500" frame, that's another story...(it actually happened)
Still, it could clean up nicely and be a good example of a DB right at the point it started to take a nosedive.
Sandy told me that even though the Pacer 500 was made in Taiwan, it was supposedly all chromoly, not mild steel like her cheap sister, the Viper. (same exact frame)
