These are a few pictures of the trail me and The Red Baron (Dennis Dain) went down a few weeks ago on the hack. Mind you, we had never raced together before, we had no helmets, no protection, very little brakes, no practice and no common sense. We probably hit the first corner at 30 miles per hour...

First Corner

2nd corner

3d corner

4th corner

and a combo of 2nd 3d and 4th

All corners are rutted as heck and the trail has a couple of rises that will sky you without warning. After the 4th corner is a FAST downhill stretch that we probably hit at 35+

Gentlemen and ladies this was BMX back in the day

(All pictures by the Red Baron)

That looks sooo cool.

Looks like a good place for an unsanctioned hack race. Rubberband start and a checkered flag finish!

Thats what I was thinking !!!! Under ground hack races !!
BenOr
Followed by a coaster brake, shock bike moto!
DAN
Might have to put the Webco mono back together! Everybody better make sure their insurance is paid up! Hell might as well build up some clucker style vintage mountain bikes and make a day of it.

So how long could we get away with it before we get shut down? What area is it in?
NBKA-SENSEI
It takes a large pair to go down that, on a hack!!!
My turn next.....
COASTY
Cool! That looks like it would've been a wild ride. Love it! We want pics of the action next time.

Reilley, I am shipping a bike to you next time I come out. It would mean a lot to me to ride with you and DD someday! That place looks awesome!

I thought the last photo was going to be in front of a sign that said "Emergency Room"

Yeah, where is this place? Looks like a great place to have some impromptu berzerko race runs!
Utterback's Ball & Chain
It looks like the foothills next to east Simi Valley, where I grew up...

I know the regional logistics are a stretch, but a Charly Narly inspired full-on pre-77 suspension bike event would be gnarlabonzical!
TemeculaOlSkool
loks like La Jolla or Scripps Ranch- lots of Eucalyptus trees. Probably not Scripps since its still growing back after the fires..

Of course not. Dennis was driving...

AND it's a not-so-secret location but I was trhinking of having a "Bomb Run" and BBQ later in the year if anyone is interested.
DAN
Rick, let's do it! Let me know a date asap.
Jarvi
Now that looks like a lot of fun. Can you strap a video camera on their next time? Would like the audio to go along with it as well.
R. Serafin
Thats a nice trail.
Reilley1
We did a little test-run yesterday. Less traction than last time but still lots of fun.

Day started off bad as I smacked my self in the forehead with a wrench when I was tightening my wheel!

It got much better afterwards

Fantastic. Hanging out with old friends, new friends, childhood heros and bikes. Doesn't get much better than that.
