$1000 for this PK with mishmash parts? really? am i missing something here?

PK listing

Actually, it's a pretty cool looking bike. I love the new-school DX pedals, but I'm not feeling the threadless fork/stem combo. Somehow that doesn't look right to me.

But it's the same with SE's and Hutches, people expect to get outlandish prices for them, and there's always one person willing to pay.

I try to keep track personally of what PK's and Quad's go for in various places (eBay, Craigslist, etc), but I just can't seem to hammer anything down. The prices paid, not matter what vintage, are all over the place, especially on the PK's it seems.

What's most impressive is someone was willing to pay for this person's selection of parts.
If I were going to pay list price I'd want to make my own selection.

really I'm thinking he came out about even on the sale.

That is some sort of record on a midschool PK. Holy CRAP!!!

Makes that Solution with the single-pinch Flights and Crupi parts I've been looking at seem like a steal at $700...

to each their own! maybe it was just what he was looking for in a bike.
SE Mark
At that price it should be a looptail with unstamped LG,Powerwing bars,Flite's,Araya 7X,Comp III's, and a Tuf Neck.
