Full Version: CYC Stormer - How correct is this bike?

Did the Stormers ever come with suspension forks? They don't look right, at least in this picture. Bars appear to be incorrect as well. I have a CYC catalog but it is older than this bike so not particularly useful in this situation.

I picked this bike up and have a use for almost every part on the bike but don't want to canibalize it if the parts are correct.

I don't think they did. Looks to me like a hack job.

Later CYC Stormer with Moped /mini Cycle fork. If you look closely, you'll see two holes on either side of the bottom fork legs used to mount a "tire hugger" fender

Nope, they never did as far as I remember. The bars might be (hard to tell) Cranks, sprocket look like typical CYC accessories.

Buy some Ashtabula forks and you'll be much closer..

Gotta run.

That was the 78-79 frame that came with lots of good components but not them forks or bars or seat or mags or cranks or well... you get the picture!

I'm getting the answers I was hoping for...it won't take long for that thing to be stripped. I can complete several other bikes with the parts on the CYC.

Frame will be available soon as my "to-do" list is getting sort of ridiculous!
