I am looking to have a Moto Mag Frame powdered orange and Hutch Hollywood powdered that light (baby?) blue. Is there a paint code that I should ask for or are these basic colors that any powder coat will have? Experts please help.
KCBMX
I would bet Chip at C4 would be able to answer that.

Agreed. I am likely having a local guy do it, so I would rather not bother C4 I don't have to.

ok, geez....I heard you the first time...
PEP
well then ask you local guy then

If you're a noob to powder work, then ask someone with ecperience in the BMX realm. Just because Chip does not do the work, does not mean that he will not give you the right advice. I'm w/KC....ask him

I can respect him not asking Chip. Some might think it's an insult to ask advice and then go somewhere else for business.

Chip's a good guy and would probably help, but I'd feel sheepish about asking....

Ask anytime, no offense will be taken if the work goes elsewhere. I try to help people in this hobby as a fellow collector and not just a business.
To answer the question: You may actually help me if anyone finds a baby blue in powder close to what Hutch used. I have not found a close match yet for that. I may have something made soon though if a few more people ask for it. The Motomag orange should be fairly common to match if you have a sample or even a close picture of what it was. I have not actually ran across a sample of that color in good factory condition yet, but there are plenty of orange tones available in powder.

Thanks Chip. I figured that it would come down to bringing a picture with me. I may just go with white, probably can't miss or just chrome everything.
Thanks Again,
JG
