Just scored this Laguna Cruiser. Lots of extra parts that need to be removed to get to the good stuff.

What year is this thing? Stickers say Laguna Hills, Calif. and Deluxe.

Can anyone post pics of similar cruisers? I'll be building this an need some ideas.

Thanks.

Got a cool laguna story. My friend Tom Harvey (owner of wooden wheels shop) one day saw his laguna gt role back into the shop after 25+ years. Seems some guy bought it when we were about 11 and used it in a auto plant everyday he worked for 25 years. He broght it in to have it retored. Tom tryed to buy it back but the guy had a serious love for the bike.

I have one of those, currently having the Sturmey Archer Hubs rebuilt by someone who knows them.

And the GRANDMA seat is now gone..

Nice find and it would look great with some new paint.

Here's a '79..it's a little different with a black Laguna die cut decal, foil backing Laguna bmx headtube and clear seat tube decal.

Oldschoolcolo,
I've got the 79-80-81 Laguna dealer catalogs on them if you need more info. Going off the catalogs yours is an '81, it has the cursive font "CRUISER" foil decal on the cross tube. The '80 had only the LAGUNA CRUISER die cut vinyl with outline, the '79 had only the die cut LAGUNA CRUISER "no outline".

In the condition mine is in...is it worth restoring? Thoughts?

Yes it is. These aren't too rare but they sure ride nice.
Nitro,I was looking at the drops on yours and mine and one of ours is upside down..
