Finally got to a point where I could post a few pics of my Redline PL-20. This is an '85 frame w/ a later model fork, as the original fork has a crack on one of the dropouts. I did the color scheme myself. It is both retro (decals) and contemporary of the frame(red/chrome).

Here's the parts spec:

'85 Redline PL-20 frame w/newer forks
Cyclecraft Fred'z bars
DK stem
generic headset
Nuke Proof carbon hubs
Chrome Ukai rims w/stainless db spokes and colored spoke nipples
Tioga Comp III blackwalls
Dia-Compe Big Dog brake
Dia-Compe Tech 99 lever
GT seatpost
GT seat
GT double clamp seatpost clamp

Coming soon:

180 mm 401 flights (non wrap)
SR MTP 1000 speedtraps w/ DK Kages
Redline Flight chainwheel
A'me grips

Let me know what ya'll think.

Beautiful job man! But is 1985 considered "Old School"???

On the bubble

i like it, something different is good. it still looks old with the old proline stickers, even if the fork one is upside down LOL

I like.

The red/chrome frame finish looks very MX.

I like it too!!

I was thinking on making a DG into a freestyle bike.
just tossing the idea around.

proline2 - yeah, I caught the sticker mess up a litle too late. I still have the white fork decals, but I think the red looks better with the frame. I might buy some more red ones if the funds loosen up some.
