Moving sucks, but finding old/forgotten/misplaced gold is a positive. This was taken 30 years ago, I'm guessing March of 1977, by Larry Lowis (Larry33 on this site). It's me on my first "BMX" bike, the fully suspended "Silver Fox" from Montgomery Ward.

I think I live BMX even more now than I did then.

Really cool pic Towne! I noticed the floods. I was thinking that the bowl your mom used for your hair cut must have been huge (maybe your family popcorn bowl).

It has a wonderful "Malcom Smith-ish" quality to it! I'm sure in your mind you were winning at Elsinore! (Two stroke sounds always flooded my mind when riding as a kid).

shoulda titled this post "bowl cuts and flood pants". Ben we are moving back to the westside of Michigan, about 4 miles from where this photo was taken. Thanks for the Malcom Smith comment, I like that. I do kind of have that desert racer position going there, don't I?

Nice mention of Elsinore! That's exactly the mode we were in there ... Didn't we take those pics at Benson's place!? Or was that the downhill part of your yard? anyway, when you get into the 'hood, we'll have to re-visit these old photos. Pretty cool you're getting back into the area!!

That is classic pre-old school style there. You had the style going on there before there was style to be had. Sweetness!!!
I was gonna post the "classic school pant" photo of Stuart for comparrison but I am gonna save that one for the caption contest. LOL
