I have been lurking around here for a while, and never really had a reason to post till now. Picked this up off craigs list
83 GHP with some decent parts let me know what you think.

Got pics?

I see them now- sorry. Metal flange Skyways look nice. Did them clean up?

Welcome aboard! Nice bike. That's an early one, probably welded up by VDC. Weird decal placements.

There's a few GHP fans around here.
AndyDiamond
zimo - the pics seem to be down?

Phil - you added some red caged Hutch pedlas to that build or were they always on it?
z-man99
I was able to see the pics by right clicking on the little dash marks and selecting view picture.

The red Hutch cages have been there, but I've made a few other improvements. It's almost due for another photo session.

zimo-what's your plans for the bike?
zimo
I'll try and post some more pics tonight, I must have screwed up somewhere along the line.

Probably going to leave most of it intact, I'll change the bars to se powerwings, and the rims will be pro class with red high flange suzue hubs and thats it.

Very nice, is it a Long?
old-skull
You got that on CT craigs list?!?!?!?!? Nice one, and welcome to the fold.

zimo
It wasn't CT it was Long Island, and was listed weird didn't mention GHP in the add so it was hard to find. I got it for $200
AndyDiamond
Nice score - looks like a Pro Long to me.

Check the serial number on the rear right dropout and it will tell you the date of mfg.

PS: the Greg Hill decals are not odd - it's just that the downtube frame did not have the 'Greg Hill' decal. That is a fork decal. Some forks had the regular GHP decal on one side and teh Greg Hill diecut decal on teh other.
The rest of the decals look to be intact and in the correct place.
There should be a black 'Greg Hill World Champion' decal right near the the BB on the seat tube.
AndyDiamond
Guess I should post my one - lol

1984 Pro Long.

AndyDiamond
doooh - I see the serail number on your photos now.

September 1983 - an early one alright!

Those bars look a bit small though!
zimo
how long is the top tube on a pro long? I am going to ditch the bars they are very small, they are alloy not sure of the brand, I have a nice set of SE power wings from bitd to replace them.
AndyDiamond
Cool - the Powerwings will be nice on there.

TT length is 19.5"
You take the measurement from the center of the head tube to teh center of the seat tube.
