I have seen alot of freestyle replica's but not as many race. I was just wondering what is the most popular race replica's that has been done? And let's see pics.

Here's my SE Stu Thomsen replica that I did up last year. It was based on this picture from an article in BMX Action.

I loved the Stu SE/Mongoose at Rockford last year. Me being one that collect's SE stuff thought it was really cool to see in person. I also got to meet Eric and it's funny but PK Ripped had his Eric Rupe Mongoose there and got the same photo with him sitting on as the Profile. It's going to be strange not to see him in a Mongoose Jersey anymore.

I remember seeing pics of that Stu bike BITD and loved those yellow grips and pads. So different from all the other bikes then. Great job looks like a near perfect replica to me. Amazing job with the plate BTW.

Both of those bikes are really cool.
I had a set of those wheel (from the Profile) on my 20" and cruiser. I think they were Ambrosia???

OK so it’s not a replica of a famous racers bike from back in the day. But it’s a replica non the less. It’s a replica of my own bike, only this one is how I always wanted the old one to be.

Sod,
That might not be a replica, but that bike rocks! My kid voted your bike as Best 70's bike at Rockford 'cause he thought it was so cool. It being a replica of your bike makes it even better. JP the DG is awesome too! I love banana seats and sissy bars!

Do you have the horseshoe pedals? Those are a very tough find as well.

the girl in that pic above looks SO familiar.
Did she play in some movie, or popular commercial?
I just can't quite place her although I can hear her voice in my head......amongst the other voices

84 Profile.,.,were you the one who won those bars off ebay about 2 weeks ago ? If not, there were bars for sale on ebay. When I found them, he had an open bid on them, not 8 hours later, they were sold with a BUY IT NOw.,.,.,.even though they were NOT buy it now.,.,,I was bummed.

Surf - head down to the Flamingo and put $10k down on red 16.
You'll have a better chance of hitting that than finding those Profile pedals.

I found these pics of Greg Hill GT and Stu Thompsen Redline repilca builds (circa 1982-era).
THEY ARE NOT my bikes, but very cool.

Sorry Surf, I have to come clean it was me. I tossed the seller an offer and he threw it up as a BIN. I have been looking for these for a long time, I couldn't resist. They are still on there way....
The pedals are an interesting one, but I don't think are impossible...I have seen a few set come up on ebay over the last few years. They haven't been cheap!

Thats ok 84Pro. I was ****ed the next morning when I went too check how much they went up, then found out they were sold.. Like you, Ive been searching for a long time also for those bars..,.,.,.,., but, I'm very glad YOU got them. I know they will go too good use. Are you going too put them on your current Profile ?
Andy and 84pro,
Ya, Ive seen those few up on ebay, just didn't have the cash at that moment. They aren't impossible, and I know they will be a pretty penny.,..,but would be weeeeeelllllllll worth it.

I won't be putting them on my current profile, as that is running my original set up from 84 and it holds sentimental value...However this collecting sickness has struck hard and I have been thinking about build another along the lines of that build you are doing...
Anyways, I don't want to hijack this tread...let see some more replica's...
