I was driving around today and decided to stop off at a garage sale this morning on the way to the post office. So I walk up and dont really see anything but a bunch of clothes and boardgames, but then in the darkness of the garage I see something hanging there. I ask about it and they said it wasnt for sale. I hang around and ask if I can at least look at it. I I get to scoping it and the guy tells me the story about buying this for his kid way bitd and decides he has no use for it and sells it to me. I was STOKED. This bike hasnt seem daylight in over 20 years. The tires still have nipples on them.

Sweet! I still need that fork! I would like to build up a Silver Streak for my old riding buddy... just like he had bitd. Interested in selling it?

You also learned a valuable garage sale lesson. Every garage sale is worth getting out of the car for. I've been to two, several years ago, where I found some big fish that weren't for sale until I made an offer. They were just hanging in the rafters or on a hook waiting to be found and appreciated.

Yeah garage sales are great. I just wish I didnt waste the rest of my day looking for more bikes and just clean this one up. But I did find some promising leads!
