A Mike Auman sighting , cool!
I first met him in 03' at the Denver national, nice guy. I then saw him again along with Russ at Rockford 05'. From what I remember he took a very hard digger at Rockford then something happened again that put him on the IR for a long time. He is a member in here but I haven't seen him for awhile.
I talked with Russ & he's on double secret probation training mode. I told him it's only less than a month away before I come up & remind him how slow he is & reintroduce him to my elbows.
Somebody tell Auman to show up that weekend too but since I'm leaving my clips at home, he's got to kick it old school like the rest of us.

Like I said Jay, GT's were the best handling bmx bike, but that doesn't mean there my favorite bike to build/look at... Not even close! LOL!

Gary Walton and company have done a wonderful job to get the track where it is today!!! It brings me back to the first day at Moose Jaw BMX, a little rough around the edges but this track is goin' to rock when it gets dialed in.
The inside line was so soft I flipped over the bars and sprained my thumb. We got a lot of packing done this evening and will get a gnarly time racing full tilt on a new track.
Hope everyone can come out and enjoy this wonderful part of the state too!!!

I have to agree with JT, Gary Walton and the staff at Brainerd have pulled together an incredible facility in a very short time!

It was SO frigging hot out this weekend, thankfully Pauly's sister was cool enough to let he hang at her cabin. 96 steps down to the lake, but man was it worth the trip down.

My crew shows up in the second round of motos today.. I wasn't racing, so I just assumed my cousin had things under control. Wrong! Reminds me of the old days, I was always late for my races. If it wasn't for Pauline I probably wouldn't have raced half of my races back then. Doug went and got a haircut Sat. Night and fell in love with the chick that cut his hair. All he kept mumbling is Amy this, and Amy that..HaHa
It was great to see everyone again.Man it was friggin hot out. It had my brother puking most of the night.I'm still feeling it. Good thing I work in A/C..My hat is off to you guys that raced..

A huge thanks to all of you guys that showed up to race and hang out. The support from you regulars who made the road trip was awesome and the unexpectedly good turnout of northerns really made my weekend.
We had ZERO complaints about the whole deal and A LOT of people volunteering their services. As much as some of the younger guys roll their eyes every time we get together, I'm starting to get some feedback from my 13 year old and his buddies, that it's pretty cool guys are coming out just to grab a broom or hang out and just watch races.
The current state of the sport in Minnesota is at an all-time high as far as unity and participation and I think you guys can all be really proud of that.
Doug C, thanks for taking over the roll of shirtless old guy, you wear the look a lot better that I do.

Looks like a great time, even if it was hot. I'm so bummed out that I couldn't make it on Saturday. I had all my stuff together and ready to go, but the dorks from work couldn't get their act together Saturday morning.

I am in the same boat as Russ, I get pretty ill if I have to be in the heat for too long. Thankfully we had plenty of water, sunblock and shade. The moment we started packing up I could feel that familiar headache coming on. So we rehydrated with a few beers and a plunge in the lake.

I simply love the 90 deg temps. I'm out in it all the time and never bothered me.

After missing out last weekend. I'm in for racing this weekend. I was originally thinking of Friday (Mankato), and both on Saturday (Faribault & Mankato). Now that Elk River is ready. I think my new plan is both on Saturday and then Elk River on Sunday.
Springer is thinking the same thing.
I haven't seen my MC factory sponsorship kit yet, but does that include a ride to the races in the little red pickup? Save room for me. I'll be waiting on the street corner Saturday.

Russ just called me from his cell phone, he was on his way out to practice at Elk River & pretty excited. Hopefully he will race tomorrow night. He also built up his Ace 24", it's yellow & very odd looking, can't miss it.
