Rain is racing the Brainerd weekend, but not this weekend at Isanti. Their band is practicing for the spamtown porkroast that they are playing at next week

Russ calls me every night....blablablablaBMXblablablaFactionblablablathoseguysarecoolblablabla......
.LOL.
He's planning on going to Rum River & possibly racing his MTB bike or at least buying a ABA membership.
Whatever you guys do DON'T GIVE HIM ALCOHOL! Last time I "made" him drink was at a resturant in Denver & after a glass of wine he started giggling & laughing like a pre-teen girl. What a total embarrasment.
Just saying & just warning.

LOL Bruce!
Tell Russ to head up to Brainerd in July, it's not too far of a drive from where he's at. He took a spin on one of the cruisers that day and he looked like he still has the skills. Not freestyle, but he still looked like he could kick some arse.
I thought he was a local the way he was BSing with us!!!!

We had our second practice last night and the track keeps getting smoother. We will have a full crew working all weekend. The staging canopy should be up, the concession building should have a partial roof and floor and all of the fencing along the front and back straight will be done.
It's still going to be a little rough and a little loose in spots, but it's getting there. We're trying to get wood chips to cover the spectator areas, but I would suggest bringing an old rug or carpet for your canopies as it is a little dusty around the track.

Should be a GREAT Weekend of Brainerd racing!
BTW, F.Y.I. MC jumped on the track lastnight at St. Michaels open practice.... Can you say, out of shape!
The NS gates are more intimidating then Gary E. standing behind you with a muscle shirt and a crabby look on his face.

No Isanti for me. Putting the finishing touches on the Brainerd track. Most of our team will be there, though.
Jeff, I'm not sure too many people will be out their tonight, we had a late one last night and will be there all weekend. I'm taking the kids tubing. Stop by saturday if you get a chance. We're supposed to have a couple of skidsteers all day.

Another great day of racing in Isanti. Awesome track. Hats off to Rum River for a great place to race.
MC, enjoy your peaceful camping, but stay away from the train. I could have stayed and BS all night, but I had to get back to the family.

Scott WBL - It was great seeing you Saturday, It's been a cool thing seeing the old schooler's slowly getting back into it!
You did great racing with MoeMoe and Bill!
SATURDAY - Scott,Moe & Bill...

Can't believe I just realized I didn't have an extra MoeMoe pic! Sorry Jeff!
Today was another great addition to the old schoolers Mike Auman (Minnesota Mike A)! He was Flying for his 1st time back in a while!
Moe and Mike...
Moe had his work cut out for him today...
Anyone remember that cool little kid at the Barn riding for his 1st time on a 16" with the Mongoose sticker?

BTW, You have to come and checkout Isanti's track. They coated it with Soil Tack, it is AWESOME!
WBL BMXer - aka Chucky
Jul 2 2007, 05:01 AM
Thanks MC. Everytime out gets better and better. That bar adjustment was the ticket. Now I just have to keep working on that manual thing.
I hope all the tracks put down Soil Tack. It really makes for a nice riding surface.
Everyone needs to make it to the OS event at this track in July. Special racing for us too. MC to fill in the details.

I am anxious to see the sealed track ASAP.
I must admit I pulled my bars back a smidge last night, Scott guaranteed me a 20hp gain from that alone so I should be screamin fast. I hope it doesn't effect my MC Freestyle moves (?)
Is it Friday yet? I will start working on a map to Chateau Old Scooler for our weekend accomadations, all are welcome, even Ted (lol)... What are the odds he will even read this, j/k...
B. Apold
Jul 2 2007, 11:45 AM
Paul, pulling your bars back will help. Scott Boecker was the one who told me to do the samething and it helped out ALOT. These new bikes have the steep steering rake and thus makes the bike steer slow if there to far forward. The only thing I don't like its makes the bike seem shorter, but its minimal. Once I installed lower bars I really noticed a big difference BUT haven't been to a track yet. Maybe Rehbein's come Fall...LOL!

Just to give everyone the headsup, Rum River has asked me to invite all the old schooler's to the Saturday July 21st - State Qualifier at Rum River Old School series, becaus4 he wants to put on an Old Schooler actual race, with a pro class format. No points, just for fun, and I already have the awards for it, just need to get them finished.
I am working out the details and well be sending out an email invite to everyone on my list.
They are also wanting to do a "Best Of Bike" voting, and they are giving an award for that as well.
Watch your inbox for details soon.
If you are a lurker, and are not on my email list please send me an email to markc@alltheracing.com so I can include you in on the details.
Peace Out!

Pipe, its based on the tracks descretion, at Rockford there was a guy racing in a basic Pro-Tec skate helmet and best of all a dude in a stars & stripes red, white and blue evel kneivel style bucket.

KOP - Are you talking about Thursday the 12th, because there is no race this week. If your interested in racing, I'm close to Faribault and would like race on Thursdays.
The only problem with the weeknight single point races is there's not enough riders to make a class. The next big weekend is:
Friday 7/13 Mankato Double Points
Saturday 7/14 Faribault Double Points State Qual. - Noon Race
Saturday 7/14 Mankato Double Points State Qual. - 5pm Race
I want to race on the new Mankato track, so my plan was to race Friday's race and then go to Faribault on Saturday.

I too would much rather run my Magnum IV open faced. I can actually see out of it. Besides I don't think those Fly helmet are worth a sh-oit. There thin and cheap. One incident with one of those and they should be tossed in the garbage.
