MC, there is only 1 MN OS bmx thread and this is it !!!

bnd , you need to get more track time before you make another trip 2 MN , because it looks like the MN OSer's Schooled you.
Jeff Manning
Scott I think your walking Nut-Sak needs a haircut.
Is that all he does is walk, or can step it up and start jogging?

LoL Scott, funny......I don't recall seeing you on the gate.

BTW, I was the only one the whole weekend that was actually in front of Dougie at one time.

If Doug were to commit himself, he could be a contender in the 41-45 class at the ABA Grands. Otherwise, he's just a fast as hell local that gets it done on a 9 year old bike & platforms!

Good to see you on here Kristen. I hope your daughter is doing well.

Hey Boecker, I hope your wife is settling in well. Wishing you guys the best and welcome home! Boecker, I will be at the National but won't likely be racing.

Scott, I'm still not sure if I can race. Friday (dbl) possible, sat out, and Sunday's look'n like a maybe. Are you racing?
Heir Vendt
I'm OUT.

Fusion...big Fusion
scott Boecker
YES , i will be racing both SAT & SUN

bnd , i was J/K about your riding . its nice to see someone else knocking down doug, i was getting bored of doing that. hope to meet you the next time your in town.

Brad get your hair and nails done by sunday so i can see you on the track.

pauli , you need to race one of the days, i think you would have a good time.
Paul Springer
I will see what I can do, I have been racing my nards off and need to watch the cash flowage. I am delicately trying to figure out how to rekindle my kids interest in bmx. It is a much better sell when they are with me.
B. Apold
Well Scotty, as long as you'll be behind me, you can at least admire my highlights...

Scott, last year 35-40 had 4 riders.. Haahaaa. crazy stuff. Times have sure changed.
B. Apold
Pauli, ya I hear ya on the kids racing stuff. Hannah was all hog wild about racing, then she starts playing La Cro$$e and still in Karate and doesn't have time for bmx. I suppose since I never go, she's not inspired to race.
King of Pipeline
I'm checking into the action... A national is always fun.. Moneys to tight to mention.. but, I'm trying to find out if I have to work saturday.. I won't know until friday... I thinking about Mankato wedsday, if its not to hot of course..
Gary Walton
I'll be there with the kid but my back is jacked up again and I gotta get it right before hunting season, so most likely no racing for me.
B. Apold
Anyone racing tonight at Elk River? I think its suppose to rain/storm, but I've been hearing that for 3 months now..
Paul Springer
I will be there!
bnd
Here is a pic that Russ gave to me. He was the #1 rider in Colorado for the WWBMXA in 1983. He's in the lead here. I have to do some research for him & he loaned me this pic.

B. Apold
Cool pic BND... It looks like Rehbein's a little...

Well, I raced tonight!!!!!!!!!!! yeah!!!! I'm a little winded keeping up with a 16x and Pauli... Yikes! I had fun though
Paul Springer
Brad you did a great job on your cruiser. The skillz are definetly still there, the stamina is the tough part. Look out Boecker!

I got worked by a bunch of kids.

1st John Ponting (16 expert)
2nd Brad Apold (40 sofa expert)
3rd AJ Knollmaier (13 expert)
dnq Paul Springer (41 slug)

Fun stuff, we had 5 total moto's and cruiser was the only one that wasn't total points. John Ponting did a great job, he doesn't race cruiser but hopped on Matt Purcell's yellow REDLINE to give it a go.
B. Apold
He's a great rider. 1st moto I had him, but bobbled a bit over a jump in the 2nd straight and he passed me and got me by a half a bike length...shucks!

Main, Samething into the 2nd corner and I just let him go and followed him around. I had raced 3 races in 15 minutes at full throttle... Yikes, not use to that... I had fun... Not sure about the National though, but then again I'll have allot more time in between races.... we'll see.
scott Boecker
Brad, its great to hear that your back on the track racing, i know your not going to be making a come back but its cool to hear your out there racing again. i hope you can make it to st cloud to race or to watch me kick some aassss !!!
scott Boecker
bnd , whats up with those 10ft trophy in the picture ???
B. Apold
Well, racing is fun, but once I get the endurance up (and it doesn't take me but a week on the MTB) I may do some racing. Its not that important to me. I feel waaaaaaaaaay more comfortable on a real track vs Rehbein's. Hard to explain, but I can actually pedal @ Elk River... Rehbein's is just a rolling game...
B. Apold

pauli , not to worried about brad racing me , because im sure he will not race 4 another 20yrs. if he does it will be a week or month, 4 him 2 recover !!! big "40" brad
B. Apold
Your so goofy... Your right Scotty. I'm retired

I wanted to see last night how I felt about racing the National. My bike feels way better than it did. I'm running some 24" Hybrid MTB tyres and there really cool and grip great (even at ER). My new bars are allot lower so my gates aren't as good, but I can jump/manual better. Anyway, ya good luck mate. Not sure if I'm going or not. I think I waited to long to try and get in shape for a national, but my busy schedule doesn't always permit riding a bike.
scott Boecker
See you all at the Land-O-lakes Nat'l
Paul Springer
I will be there Sunday!
bnd
Pictures of the weekend would rock. Where's Conley?
Russ said he will be out Sunday.

ABA does not allow people from the outside to take pictures and stills and post them for any use. Buzz killers...
Jeff Manning
ABA?

MC , we sure missed you at the races this weekend. that sucks that the ABA would not let you take pictures.

See all you OSers in two weeks , Off to Belize
bnd
The ABA....huh? What? about pics? Please explain more......

b.
B. Apold
The ABA does the samething as MC (taking pics) and then selling them and I think they put the kabosh on MC and folks that are also in business doing the samething... MC, maybe you can join in.. Its a joke.
bnd
That goes on here on many levels. MC, let's talk.

Life and Politics goes on... If the BMX higher up's would understand that I about promoting our state, and am "NOT" a photographer, but instead an online small magazine with poor grammar

Hell, I am pretty sure the Local paper was given a press pass there, to post there "one" photo and article for all St. Cloud residents to enjoy.

What ****es me off was, that I most likely could have shown up and video taped it at least, because ABA Direct TV was not even there I found out today.

In the end, all is good on my end, because it's not me who is being selfish about promoting our state. Cuz you know, those "20" 4x6 photos I have sold has made me a wealthy man, heck I had $4.00 left after I filled my truck!

My site stats are at a record, so at least it's being used (it's probably Brad looking at his own photos)

Stats Just Now:

Page View Summary
Total page views in last 7 days: 19,125
Total page views in last 30 days: 71,954
Most page views in last 30 days: 6,370 (Mon 07/30)

I Actually took the week off of BMX other then Thursday at Faribault so my son could race, and didn't even take the camera out of the bag. In fact I think this was the 1st race in over a year that I just watched

Congrats to ALL the MN Riders, Old and New! From what I was told by a few, Minnesota riders and teams kicked some BUTT!!!!
bnd
Did the ABA give you a hard time about selling some pics? I have a hard time with that seeing we have had a few people do excatly that over the years & recently too. No probs here.

Call Shannon at the ABA & talk to him if there is issues. One phone call is all it takes sometimes & he is very easy to deal with.

You & the MN crew do a wonderful job promoting the ABA & your local scenes. Probebly just as good if not better than us here in Utah!

There was a few mixed messages, about taking photos there, not just ABA, and not MJT. I know that is MJT's living, so I respect that.

Think I'll start my own sactioning body and create my own politics... 40 and over class only, Dougie has to smoke while racing, with a beer in his hand, Moe has to start backwards, Boecker has to do "A Full Lap", Russ has to show up with a CRF450 with no motor and push it like Fred Flintstone, Brad JUST has to show up and stand by the fence
B. Apold
I can do that and be in the club? You see this works well for me, cuz now I don't have to get my nails dirty. I am proof that I can look good and still ride and did I mention very fow-tow genic. We need Troy in the club.
WBL BMXer - aka Chucky
Hi guys. I feel like I've been gone forever. We took a little family vacation last week and I'm just catching up.

Sounds like both St. Cloud weekends were interesting. Scott B - I hope you're feeling better. Have a great trip with your wife.

I talked to Springer and he's out for any racing this weekend. I see Faribault is having a Dbl points race on Friday and a Redline cup race on Saturday. Anybody going to these races?
King of Pipeline
What about me,, i'm almost 40.. I can show up too, maybe just ride the track a bit..
B. Apold
I thought about racing wed night, but if Pauli's not going I probably won't, unless Moe and WBL are in... Its kinda of far for you though. I'm just sticking to Wed night low key events. Its better for my knees and elbows...shoot ya, Scotty bailed, that sucks.
Paul Springer
B. Apold
and? You got something to say Mr. Springman? Toma!!! (thats Spanish or Bring it)
Paul Springer
I entered that assuming it was going to follow KOP's comment there flapjack...

Wed night might work, but are we talking racing or getting our nails done?

My nephew wants to practice a little before trying this racing thing. If my brother can make it Wed night, I would like to go too. Springer, can you make Wed night? Could be a fun night
Paul Springer
Check out what Bruce (bnd) discovered out at his track yesterday.

HERE IS THE WHOLE STORY
B. Apold
Its a tahoe with a Robinson gustet!!! j/k.... That bike is beautiful. Wanna trade an 82 GT pro-bike for it? I just want something different. Cool pads.

BND, nice find!

WBL, I'd still consider going if you guys are. Moe can school us.
Paul Springer
Isanti tonight? Anyone...
B. Apold
How long does that take to get there and when are you leaving?

I just pushed my kids in the stroler for an hour, (via 70lbs) and OMG is it humid again. The dewpoint must be in lower 70F range.. Anyway, its going to be a sweaty ride tonight.
