Not magazines - books. 1981 was a bumper year in BMX publishing in Australia. Here are just three of the titles published in Oz in '81.

BMX Downunder was the pick of the crop, with lots of pics of local bikes and action, as well as shots from the US pros who toured here in late 1980.

Dave Spurdens BMX FREESTYLE 1984, 62 pages written by Dave Spurdens featuring a VDC on the cover, and a Skyway TA on the rear. how to do all the old school freestyle tricks plus plans how to build a quarter pipe. Oh I had that third one in Kurt's photo. Time to go hunting through my old boxes as I'd forgotten about that one.

How freestyle has changed when lifting one hand 30cm from the grip made the cover...

Looks like you need a copy of BMX Downunder? - it's the best of the Aussie publications.
