I had a chance to attend the SD Velodrome Spring 2007 Bicycle Swap Meet last Sunday morning. I rode my C-Dub over and had a few people commented on it. I had it parked aside while I browsed, and a kid & his parents were inquiring from the vendor how much they were selling it for. If I hadn't been paying attention, it could've been sold from under my nose. Anyway, I got into talking with a lady, who was one of the vendors, who turned-out to be Sandy's sister, Karen(?) or Sharon(?). She was selling some of what was left of Wheels N' Things. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to visit the old shop, but have only read about it from this site and also heard from others. She said that she'll be auctioning most, if not all of Sandy's bikes in the near future. Here's a quick snap from my camera phone of what was part of Wheels N' Things inventory.

Looks like a prime OP to score some goodies. Was there anything good there?

She had mostly apparels, mtb parts, road bike parts, & some tools. I picked-up a few little tools that I needed. She said she found-out about the swap meet the last minute. She didn't bring any bmx stuff because the swap meet was targeted more toward mtb'ers & road bikers.

I drive on the 125 everyday to my shop out in Santee. The 125 goes almost right over where Wheels n Things was.

I went into his shop in like 1989 and really did not realize the kind of greatness I was witnessing. My wife and I went to San Diego for our Honeymoon. I also went to the old bmxa facility in Torrence.

What a romantic you are Pat!
Yes, the 125 goes over what used to be Fanita, which was just west of Wheel's N' Things. That was THE shop while I was growing up. If you hear anything about her auction, please PM me with info. I would love the chance to get some of the things I used to drool over and wish for every weekend when I would stop by.

I bought my first NEW frame and fork set there in 1982. It was a Redline MXII that was recently stolen from my parents storage facility. Wheels-N-Things always had everything a kid could want!

She mentioned that she was planning on having a website done for Sandy's things. Who knows, that might be where she might hold the auctions later on. She mentioned about osbmx.com(?) but I mentioned to her about this vintagebmx a couple of times. I wasn't sure whether she understood what I was saying though.
I'll keep everyone posted when I hear some words about it. You guys do the same as well.
