Full Version: Bensalem (PA) BMX

I'll start by stating I never raced competitively, but I know the track well. I had hoped that someday, I'd take my kids here to race, but it looks like that will not be happening.

For those of you familiar, Bensalem BMX will be closing after this season. The township of Bensalem, PA has other needs for the land the track now sits on.

I've tried contacting the track operator via email, but haven't heard anything back. I've suggested looking at other neighboring townships.

Please check out their website and contact the track operators if you feel inclined. Perhaps a little nudging will convince them that a new place needs to be found for a historic track.

With all of the talk here lately about the decline of participation in BMX as compared to the "golden years", I'm offering an idea up that can at least limit that decline, at least on the local level in SE PA... Every little bit counts, right?

Thanks for listening.

Lee

I remember the year it opened. Back then the starting hill was at the top of the hill near the parking.
Bucks County still has tons of farmland. As far as I can remember Bensalem is/was the only track ever in Bucks.
