Dude, that is absolutely stunning! Perfect!
Funny thing is I was browsing through an 83 BMXA just the other day and was looking at the original ad for those STR bars with the straight crossbar. I was thinking I had never seen a set bitd or recently. Bam...there they are...congrats on a sweet looking bike!

What's the term I'm looking for....oh yeah...BLING!!
I've always loved the Maxy's in all of their forms.
For some reason I've totally failed to horde any.
Super application of a truly classic crankset.

Nicely done man. And the snakebellies... nice touch. You just don't see enough of those in my opinion.

Thanks ya know as far as the STR's, I own Hutch Pro bars, GT Pro bars and Powerlite Pro and Xpert bars and the STR's are right up there with them. They are an awesome design the crossbar sits a bit lower and they are still nice and wide. And like ya said ya dont see these very often. The frame being late 80s does throw off the continuity in era on the bike a little but it is what it is until I find a loop!

I do have a question . . . those drop out protectors you have. I was under the impression those were supposed to only work on 84 and earlier loop tails. Did you have to do anything to get them to work on this one?
Here's mine. I used the round one that just slip over the axle, but love the one's you have.

Yeah Ray over at Kaleidescope is a super cool guy and does good work. Id reccomend him all day. As far as the dropout savers they work fine with this frame, just are a little long but its only a cosmetic issue. The guy selling them on ebay ships quick too. Thanks for the comments.

Rob, that's a rare frame mate you don't see many of those 86-90 frames about i think due to the state SE was in at the time.
And sweet to boot man, very nice.
