I have just finished putting together my newest build a 1979 Mongoose Roger DeCoster.

I must say that this has been my favourite build so far, although for anybody that has ever tried to put together a era-correct 1970's BMX will know just how hard it is to source the parts.

Have a look at the extensive parts rundown and then try to imagine the difficulty in finding so many NOS parts.

This really has turned out well and it is so shiney, I just can't stop looking at it.

There are so many little details that I love, like the radially laced rims, the brake lever cover, the centre pull caliper and I love the peg board complete with one of Roger DeCosters numbers.

I have to thank AL for the decals, Craizycraig for the rims (both Radbmx members) and especially Reilley1 for the parts advice, cheers guys :daumenhoch: :4_17_5:

Very nice, but the Ashti forks look out of place with all the high zoot alloy stuff, really need a set of DeCoster forks. Very sweet ride there!

Fair point about the forks, I am on the look out for a good set, but they are not easily available. I will change the ashti forks when I find a set of DeCosters.
