Went riding with my 2 granddaughters today so I could check out my rebuilt CYC Stormer. My oldest granddaughter asked me if I could do a wheelie. So I got up a liitle speed and pulled back on the bars, next thing I know I am sitting on my butt looking up at the sky wondering what happened. When I relized what I just did I started laughing my butt off.The bike is alot lighter than I figured. My tailbone will hurt like crazy later.I just gotta rememeber that I am 46 yrs old and need be a little careful.

Bet you wouldn't trade that ride on your CYC for anything though, even with the little crash. Riding around on a bike that helped make BMX what it was 30 years ago, a simpler time for racing and for us.

Ah, see that's where you went wrong. You are a grandpa at 46? I'm 35 and my daughter is almost 2. By the time I have any grandkids I'll be too old to even get on a bike! I'm kidding. last year me and a freind were trying wheelies and we ended up shiney side down more than a few times.

From where I sit, getting old isn't seeming so bad!
Bike Crazy.

I wheelie around on my Champion 20"er pretty good for a 47, soon to be 48 year old though when it starts to loop out I'm definitely not as quick as I was 30+ years ago. On a very slight uphill I can wheelie for a long ways with a right turn included. Getting out and riding whether you have kids or not keeps ya young at heart. Get some.

the boom boom aside, going for a ride on a cool bike with your grand daughters sounds like a really good thing

I know the feeling and same result. Was also laughing my head off whilst holding the bike above me. At least there wasn't anyone there to take a photo of you, or was there?

Keep riding, I ride my 24 at least once a week, now with my Daughter. I have a blast every time I ride.
I can still do decent wheelies and bunny hop a clean 20 inch cardboard box. I even found myself jumping down a flight of stairs recently. (Note to self: I have mortgages to pay....)
Riding is good for the body and the mind.

With a couple of young guy exceptions, almost everyone in this
slide show at least 35. This was two weeks ago at Rays in Cleveland. Don't give up!
