I have a set of GT Pro bars I bought new in the summer of 81 that differ from every other GT Pro bar I have ever seen. It has The same rise and sweep as all others, but is about 3/4" narrower and the crossbar is of smaller Dia. with no crossbar decal, but does have the round Santa Ana GT decal in the typical spot. Anyone else seen this??

I agree, I have four pair of GT Pro bars and all of them have the same 8" measurement from 1/2 crossbar to 1/2 stem area. The same 9" total rise. But one is 271/4'ish in width and the other three are 28". I can remember getting my first pair in the summer of 1981 with the GT round sticker on the left and no cross bar decal with a width of around 271/2". I have always thought that the decal on the left made them early-- but two of mine have left round decals and the other two have them on the right side. I am not sure if this rings true to tell if they are early or not?

I see from another post (sting) that the first Gen's were GT Pro "Anaheim" bars then later 2nd Gen GT Pro "Santa Ana" bars. It would be nice to see if the "Anaheim" bars were less than 28" 's wide. This would give you a way to tell Ana from SA bars (271/4 to 271/2 and left decal placement-- if the round ANA decal was missing)
