Hello all,

Just bought what I hope is a genuine NOS GT laid back seat post. It has the oval GT santa ana sticker, blue. Almost looks purple in color. The only stamping on it is near the bottom and it says "max height .875 Cr-Mo JAPAN". It also has the cuts all the way around at the top where the seat bolts on. It also has a piece of metal welded inside at the bottom inside the tube for support. Its in perfect condition.

Any GT masters out there that can help.

sounds like a Tioga (i think it was...not the SST) with that internal brace and "Japan" marking.

GT never used that support.

Yep, Tioga sounds right. A GT would have a GT in a circle stamp.

not all gt seat post had a stamp,, but no internal guts were used
