YA SIR!

Jeff Kang is mental, I had the best times riding and jumping with the man.. wish I had more pics of him, I done ran out.. but every shot i had is posted someplace in the thread..

In the meantime, look at this one of Michael Tyau.. like JK said earlier, he could jump and land like a feather, unlike my "ton of bricks" landings.. then again my bike was called "The 512 Tank" ..

Tyau at Cannons Club:

Here is Raymond Motosue:

.. shot at Hickam AFB

Hey maybe we ride this weekend with Bone808 and whoever else.. I am buying that 24 tonight!

Cheers..

Stayed home today, injured my hip at work yesterday. Was doing nothing when P-Nut called to talk about bikes, and got me all geared up so I painted the 16" and put some decals on it. I have created a clone of my favorite bike! It's not quite done yet, need some tuffs. *evil laugh*

Wah HOO man.. bought from BMX1 and rode it home from Ala Moana shopping center..

This bike is cherry, so smooth.. clean.. I am doing some minor adjustments now.. I have to confess, never rode a BMX bike so solid, this thing will take me some serious getting used to, my bikes have always been with warped rims, changing parts that break, cannibalized pieces, and all..

I am SO doggone stoked.. went extra riding tonight too, bunny hops nicely, except almost "too easy" to turn and stop.. all that..

LETS RIDE BOYS!

Have the cameras out, I think some more radness is going to be unleashed. For sure that bike can take some abuse and come back for more. If it bunny hops well it should be a good jumper. So are you runnin the seat high or low. Thats how we can tell old school from new. Have fun and get shin guards.

It is actually a custom designed bike called The Conspiracy Shadow Invisible Man, limited edition, only 300 were made according to the website. Super bike, then again all I ever owned was BMX bikes with all kinds of different parts.. nothing to compare against..

On the photographs, I have an account with PhotoBucket.

If I am using negatives, I'll scan them high resolution into JPEG format. Upload to Photobucket and stay logged into that website when logged into Vintage. Then copy the IMG Code and paste here.

As the size goes, I will normally export using MS Picture Manager or some utility to export into JPEG rez 1024x768 [size] as save someplace.

sample:

Now, Vintage has another way of posting pics too, except there is a limited size and amount of disk space allowed..

Looks like this:

I believe the Recent Attachments size area total per member in kb or mb is limited and also not sure if the pics are downsized to keep server space managable.

Hope that helps, I'm new here..

Cheers!

Congrats on the Shadow Conspiracy! Or I should say congrats to us for finally getting you back on the dirt. Man good things are about to happen aren't they!!!!!! BU, Rust, Kevlau, Changstar, P so when you guys riding?

Hey JT.....thats some funny stuff with the parachute. Thanks for the link I enjoyed poking around on that site. Good stuff. I remember at HRP drags they used to have a foot race everynow and then for kicks. The guys had to run down the 1/4 mile and back around the whole return road to the tower. Was a fun break in the drags watching everyone gas out running the track.

JEFF! MY MAN! Come join us with a 24!!!!! Thanks for sharing that pic. Gives me butterflies remembering being on that gate waiting for the moto in fron of you to finish. Because you knew you were on in a few seconds. Great times no? Is that you no 820? Funny I can only remember you wearing the TBS colors.

I have been slacking and not riding lately. You know spending more time at home lying on my fat asss watching stuff I DVRed or spending countless hours on the internet. Reading about Anthony Sewells passing got me off my asss and riding again. I remember staring at that tabletop pic of him when I was a kid. That pic is just Epic to me. Sometimes, it takes stuff like this to remind me to get out and live it. Anyway here's a few pics from yesterday and the day before. Hope you likey....

I am also guilty of not riding, but never get out of touch with the goings on here. Funny I started this thread just to talk story with all the past racers, and that came slowly but sure grew. In the back of my mind I also wanted to see a bunch of us get together and ride again. And man that is happening too. I was filled with envy that the mainland guys had reunions and still rode or raced. Now we are getting close to being able to do that too. I am stoked. Something about riding those little bikes in the dirt drew us in, and that something never leaves. It's been said before.
"No one ever quits BMX, they just take long breaks". I know that the track is another slow process but it's commin, and we have a healthy group of vets who I expect to be there. Then I hope that will draw in even more. All I gotta say is thanx guys.

Changstar

By the way I do have a bunch of parts I can sell, even a cruiser frame and fork. Just not enough to build a whole bike. Then again isn't half the fun picking out your parts and building it? Hey RusT, tell us more about that pit bike.
Rust808
The bike is just a cheap C-List pick-up, you might have seen it, yellow & black

Spraybombed it white, put the spare decal set I had lying around, cheap stem and post. Probably worth $45 now. Really fun to ride around the block. JK said something about a circus bear on a tricycle...LOL

This is what I really want for my pit bike.

WTF Jeff.......That really looks like you had a close call. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Man that is a scarey looking injury.

I thought that was Cy on the side of you. You ever run into him. The last time I saw him he was working at Sharper Image.......many years ago. I see Jerald every now and then. Havent seen Wakatake since he stopped riding.

The CR24 looks like a cool bike. I would have considered getting that if it came out earlier. I read good things about it on the web. I hope you are going to make the plunge and join is riding again.

Jezzuss! Get well soon, that looks major serious man, good to still have you around *shivers*..

I like the CR24 too, must be a solid bike.. I went riding again this morning early, after my gym workout.. it was like 6:14am .. LOL

Only after about 1/2 hr of bunnyhopping curbs, jumping speed bumps and swinging into leaves at KP Park, I got ... a FLAT TIRE!!

Hey JK, looks like you have a flat-tire challenger.. for me, it was a sharp wire thingie that punctured straight into the tire, sort of slow leaked.. I noticed it and tried to bail home.. it was dead flat on the last 2 blocks so had to carry it like a newborn.. I tried to ride last night, but got home after dark from my consulting job.. here is rough draft of documentation for the eCab and routing/switching systems I had to configure/integrate ..

... then had to build a computer for my dad's g/f, I am due to install it Friday morning, so there went last nights ride.. do you guys use lights at night?? On my road bike I have a full front light 10w and a bright red blinkie for the rear.. I figure for BMX, no need..

Mark Miyashiro, Daniel Lee and Ray Motosue checking out a repair job at Campbells Race Track

Marky on the dirt straight

These pics were taken before I even rode at Campbells, anyone recognize the people in the background or what? I pulled these off some old negatives..

JW rider, about your timeframe of BMX .. I would guess..

Cheers..
