Hey Billy!
Whats happenin! Hope you're doing great.
Cool to see you posting on here again.
ZMan,
Thanks for posting that!
The guy profiled after Billy, Boog Roy was one of my favorite racers
in San Diego back in in 78'. He moved to Texas in 79' or 80'.
I asked about him a while back and no one knew anything here at Vintage.
Cool coincidence you posted that along with Billy's profile.

I'm also looking for USBA Racer July 1985, Have heard there is more articles out there in BMXA and other BMX Plus mags. Anyone willing to hook a bro up?
Thanks.
Hey Johnny, guess what? I raced BMX for the first time in 20yrs this past weekend. State Champs race in Colorado Spgs and got 2nd place in cruiser.
Pretty sweet. Had to beat out a few youngsters to get it done.

Oh yeah, that really isn't a race ready bike. It's a GT. 1 of the first 7 ever made with a GT Fork and Yeah still got it. My uncle in Texas has it, I'm getting it back from him in a few weeks. and, z-man99, can you scan up the chapter on Chad Sheffield? He was a good friend from Amarillo. Fast.

Thanks to all who posted and thanks for posting that article. I am looking for another picture from
USBA Racer July 1985. I'm on my Cruiser.
Check out these old pics, notice I'm riding a powerlite. Circa early 1979 I think. Bullseye hub Nisi rims and sew up tires. Dura ace cranks and reedy (sp?) pedals.
and the second one is from the same photo shoot in the Mag article, at my private BMX track Circa 1980.

"Kevin Sleater" .........THEE Kevin Sleater from Utah? The same KS that IS O.S. Utah BMX? The same KS that was one half of the the Utah version of the Milachi bros? Thee same guy who, next to John Crews is one of the most stylish guys ever to grace a BMX track? Theeee same KS who has forgotten more about BMX history than most of us know? THAT Kevin Sleater....
So it is. What a lurker.
