I was digging through some old stuff this weekend and found a video tape with footage from the 2 times Channel 10 News came to Heer Park to do a Heart of Ohio special. Must have been 1987 or so. They did a quickie interview of you and I and some younger riders on the starting gate and then you took the host on a lap on your cruiser.
You had won the worlds and I had just turned B-Pro. Pretty wild stuff. How long has it been since you've seen that?

Yo Chris,
What's up? You still got your GHP uniform? If I recall correctly, that's what you wore back in the day. At least, I think....
Yeah, I've got that in my collection somewhere. You know what's funny? They did a 10-year follow up in 1997. And it was the SAME host! I think his name is Mike Gleason. Man, my brain is working on overtime today!
Thanks for the quick trip down memory lane!

Same host? That's funny. I still live in the area and that name still sounds familiar, so he may even be around today.
You know, I don't have a clue where 90% of all my stuff went. I know we sold some and other things just seemed to have dissapered. So, no GHP items anywhere. My best friend does still own my GHP cruiser, but he doesn't want to sell it back (hopefully, I'd get first shot if he does). After the GHP phase, I spent a lot of time on black/blue Cycle Crafts with Tim Boring and then ended up on Free Agents. Again, all of that stuff is long gone.
I do still have a couple of the President's Cup jerserys. Those where the one's we wore at the state vs state race before the Christmas nationals.
In this video, you were in your Eagle Snacks uniform. Prior to that, I remember you on Whitman's.
Good to see you are still in the sport and passionate about it. Very cool! I actually just finished building an 86 PK Ripper (I did have an 85 back then, but again, didn't keep it) and am working on an Elf.
Oh, I almost forgot. In that box of video tapes, was also a REALLY LONG tape of footage your dad shot at Memphis is 1985. Man, talk about a trip down memory lane! Everybody we raced with from OH was at that race - or so it seemed.

I was there for the opening of that track. My buddy has a vhs tape of the news story. The Mayor was there and everything. Mike Reddy was there and they interviewed him.

I see Mike Reddy a few times each year at Corvette events. Great guy. Mike and Tiffany were both very good racers too.
I was probably there for the opening as well. Some friends of ours were involved in helping get it started.
What age where you back then? Wondering if we raced each other?

I was 18 in 1987. I didn't race much. A little novice racing action. Rode the street a lot. That's about it. I got into cars pretty heavy. I met Todd's brother Brad around 82 or 83 at my old apartment complex. This guy had a trick ramp and Brad would come by and ride it with some other guys. Come to think of it that guy might have been related to Brad and Todd. Maybe their uncle. Can't remember. I rode with Todd a few times later on. I remember him being on his candy red Hutch Judge. I loved that bike. I've seen Mike Reddy's dad at some autocross events racing his Z06 in the past few years. Haven't seen Mike. I do show cars though so maybe one day.

I was 17 in 1987. Are you still into cars? What kind of ride do you have now?
Here is my current car. Prior to the vettes, I had a Nova I bracket raced.

Thanks. I've had it a year and am already kind of tired of it. I drag raced a Nova for 10 years and had a 96 vette before this one. I just get the itch for different things. I have a 2 year old and wish my toy had room for 3 people.
