Warren, they are an `82, `83, and `84, top to bottom. Based on the year alone, I would say that the `82 is a Pro Class, since the looptail Supergoose didn't come out until late `83. Take the BB & headtube cups out and see how thick the tubing is-it should be noticeably thinner than any standard `goose tubing. Pro Class tubing diameter is as follows: top tube is 1 1/8", down tube is 1 1/4" (standard is 1 1/8"), rear triangle is 3/4" (standard is 5/8"), and has a three-hole rear brake bridge. Seat post tube is larger diameter as well, but I don't have those dimensions.

Some looptail Supergooses will have the same tubing diameter , but it will not be the lighter weight thin-wall tubing that the Pro Class has.

Verify that the frame that was actually stickered as a Pro Class has the same tubing diameters/thicknesses as mentioned above-sometime in the las 23 odd years someone could have easily re-stickered a Supergoose with Pro Class stickers, which leads me to the third frame. Unless that seatpost sticker actually says "Mini" on it anywhwere as well as Californian, it's not a Californian, just a Minigoose.

Clear as mud?

By the way, there was not an Eric Rupe model until at least `85, possibly `86.

both the 82 and 83 are thin wall proclass's
with 1 1/4" downtube and 1 1/8" toptube

the 84 is eric rupe (has eric decals still on it)
with both tubes 1 1/4"

all rear tubes are 3/4" and the pro's have 3 holes in the brake bridges

Hello ! My Mongoose looptail frame has the serial number J4000946 and it's a Rupe : toptube and downtube are 1 1/4 " diameter, toptube is 19,5 " center to center and it has the bigger diameter seatstays tubes. It has only 1 hole in the rear brake bridge. The looptails Supergoose have smaller toptube and the Pro Class have not both tubes 1 1/4 " diameter.
Regards.
