I guess you know they made VW headers in the 80's? Kinda like another Bassett. Here's a set of bars with the offbeat cadmium 2(?) finish... I recently picked up an S&S 26" 3 bar cruiser ("Rainbow" something or another model) similar to hemidart's except it has the original WHITE paint/decals plus the original matching blue ano Dura Ace crank (sorry I didn't take any pics yet)..a really super nice survivor.
Kurt.
Hey Rohan,
Have you got the Jan' 81 BMXA? There's a good story starting p.74 on the S&S prototype racing cruiser. It's the same design as your pic above with the tube gusset.

S&S stands for "Street and Strip". The company started in the late 60's making headers and then moved into BMX in '79.

Seems like they are a good frame - certainly not a volume manufacturer of BMX

Thanks Kurt. Yes, I have that mag.

Just hoping some could say they were good bikes. I was thinking they are not department store bikes. I will just throw them out next clean up.(joking I don't have one)
