Can anyone tell me how I can find out the year and if it's a long ot standart frame?

Sounds like a long. The serial number should be on the back drop out. Either 82xxx 83xxx 84xxx...85xxxx I believe that were the only four years that were produced.

if you send it to me,i'll tell you,and the pads too....make sure you include those....you know,for reference.lol

I can measure mine tonight. I know mine is a long because there is sticker that says "long."

I just measured it. The top tube, center to center, is 18" inches. Sorry, no metric on my tape measure. I would have thought a long would be a bit longer, but it's a original paint frame, in pretty rough shape, but it has a sticker on the seat tube that says LONG.
