hey quicksilver , hutch or not ... i walked into an old bike shop in adelaide and proudly said to the 60yr old owner "mate , do you have any old bmx bits that you never sold from the 80's"
he looked at me as if i had a hole in my head and said "no mate , why would i keep parts that long " .... i was like "OK mate , just askin" , i felt like saying "well an old pro neck is worth more than these crap bikes your'e sellin" .
no good , where do yous guys get all these scores from ? present score not included as it is a garage sale lookalike .

7 or 8 years ago I called all the bike shops in my area. Asked them if they had any old parts, bikes etc. Not one of them said they had anything except a guy who said he just sold a nos moose for $90. I don't think half of them know what is old stock or what they have got. They probably had heaps of stuff that is now long gone.

umm... i thought i replied on this thread yesterday.
Forks look like ELF to me. I have a early ELF that has that same white paint, even the patina looks the same. I take some pics and post them this evening.

Look inside the right rear dropout, vertical, towards the front. I was just looking at my 1985 ELF and it has the same type brake bridge (minus a couple of holes where the welds are), but... mine has holes in the rear dropouts. I didn't have time to take pictures to absolutely compare, but the fork dropouts look the same.
I also looked at one of my early free agents... the brake bridge is round.
