I traded my buddy a khe messerschmidt flat bike, for this excellant condition (i think) goose.
It seems to be all original except for the rear rim(has a z-rim now), but it seems to have high end parts for a stock bike
RACE INC. gold anodized bars
TRX forks
Sugino 3 pce. maxy cross cranks
kkt lightning pedals.
Gold dia-compes front and rear.
PRO NECK stem
I think the tires are even original(cycle pro snake bellies?)
Here is the serial #CJ8
109425
Thats how it is written on the b/b.

Anyone know what year bike it is, or if I can obtain stickers for it(legally, of course?)

Flip it over and read the serial number on the bottom bracket. That will tell you the exact year. Seeing that it has a coaster brake mount its probably pre 80 and you can get perfect repro decals for it from this site owner, Bill

Are you sure they're maxy cross cranks? They dont look like either set that I have. Love to see a close up if they made another version I didnt know about.
Cool bike!

Nice Jim... Cool survivor.
A clean-up of that stem bolt and maybe some VBMX repro decals and it'll look incredible.

From the parts that are one it, is this a "Team" model?
Or would someone have probably built this themselves?
Thanks

Holy Cow, That is a great survivor. Those parts are the best of breed for the average Joe around 80. Someone really put a lot of love and $$$ (in relation to allowance) into that ride.
I think Team models have a T stamped on them with the number beside C for Chattsworth, CA.

Nice pirate booty! Survivors are so much sweeter than restored show queens. Clean her up and ride her!
