I think he did reply, he doesn't believe you
His ebay Comment:

I received an email from a person claiming to be Rich Farside. He claimed that he never engraved the bottom of this BB. He wanted me to remove that part from my description so others wouldn't be miss-lead.

Hey Rich,
Dude don't think you are you!!!! DOH

PLEASE NOTE: I asked this person to identify him self by providing a pic of his Lic. showing only the name and he didn't want to. Whether he is truly Rich or someone that just wants me to remove that info in hopes to keep the bidding down we will never know.
I can tell you this frame came from a girl I dated and she was hutch team rider back in the day. She GAVE me this frame and she was the one who told me it was his frame. So I don't know why she would lie about it.
I still offer that individual to provide me some true form of his identity. If he does I will be glad to correct any above statements immediatly! I don't have any intentions of misleading any potential bidders! And this is why I am adding this to my description letting you know there was email conversation regarding the issue!
Plead Bid accordingly! And sorry for having to mention.
just thought I would share... LOL

I gotta admit sometimes I have a hard time believing Rich is Rich, it's usually when I'm trailing about 10 bike lengths behind him but yes that is Rich Farside.
Seems a guy selling an old hutch would know about vintage....

I had a hard time believing Rich was Rich until I found myself at his house and doing a clinic at his local track. If that was not Rich Farside I spent a weekend with an imposter.LOL It's the real Rich Farside..

He knows about Rockford. The dude has a clue. It is just not in his monitary interest to act on it.

A person who has "been collecting Hutch Bikes for a while now" and who has a "very, very special" bike with "Rockford potential" would NOT equip said bike with that haphazard batch of mismatched parts. The auction is a private listing. And the seller tosses Rich Farside's name around like a softball, but never identifies his supposedly Hutch-sponsored girlfriend, who would be the true missing link in the chain. Three red flags, YOU'RE OUT!

If someone is listing auctions on a regular basis they are also checking their e mail on a regular basis...There you have it..Time to contact Ebay I would think..

lets dig a little deeper...check out his feedback, he has bought parts... email the dawnwith4kids...see if he will answer to her. wow, thats my ex wifes name-but we only have 3 kids.
and if he don't get back with her-he is checking the thread.

With a name like action fiber he may simply be spending all of his time running to the can. Might be hard to finish an email with that much action going down.
Either way it's pretty cheap. Good luck.

Rich shouldn't HAVE to prove himself---via this thread he already has. But shooting over some basic ID will certainly shut the joker up. However, it's not really needed as his response to Rich's email he has posted on his auction is enough to set the alarm bells ringing---it just sounds shady.

I put Rick(Reilley1)'s name on all my auctions to pump up interest.

I Like to throw the name Jon Anderson in to my auctions!
Rich Farside
Feb 9 2007, 12:26 PM
Who is Jon Anderson?
Fergie
Feb 9 2007, 01:04 PM
I've got it Rich!
Why don't you put up Wal*Mart Special on Ebay with "af" scribbled in the BB and say it was once owned by Action Fiber!!
elmercs
Feb 9 2007, 01:21 PM
Would that mean that Rich would have to have a "girlfriend" that was a Wal-Mart employee that gave Rich the bike in question? The plot is getting thick!!! LOL
