Has anyone got a test of the Redline PL24 that they can post up please??? One from 83 would be best(because that's the year model that i have)
But any of the early one's would be fine....
Did they come out with these decals in 83???

Thanks.......... Scotty

I remember a cruiser shootout in VBMX with the PL, the GHP cruiser and a few others, but I think that was from '85.

Meatpie,
BMXA did an early review of the 1983 PL24 before it went into production. I have the mag but my kids just broke my printer/scanner. The only person riding one at the time was DD Leone. The sticker kit on the 1983 PL24 has the same downtube, headtube, and fork stickers as the 1985 kits you can buy. The seatmast and chainstay stickers were different.
I decided to go with the carrera stickers instead. DD used a similar kit on his. I just don't like the pl24 stickers on chrome. On white the look amazing but on chrome I prefer the carrera.
I was just reading a BMXA from 1981 and in the new product section they had a ProLine 24 Race and Proline 24 Street. The f/f look exactly like the PL24 but had Carrera stickers on it with full size V-bars and a brute stem.
So basically if you have an 1983, you need to make it either a 1985 or a 1981.
Hope this helps.

you may check out on bmxmuseum.com. go into the site and on the left there are letters. click on the R and it will list bikes the start with that letter. go to Redline and the list all bike of members by year. there has to be one on there from '83 I would guess. hope that helps.

Mike, they ride great. Feels like a 20" except for the bars. I have KOS bars on mine and don't think they have enough rake.

Is that LarryS's old one? I always admired that PL24. PL24's are very cool cruisers!
